Whether it’s the Vanilla Wafer Cake made from cookies perfected in the family kitchen or the pound cakes that grandma used to make, we have spent a lifetime perfecting these recipes. We’re a company named after my brother, Christopher Harris, who unfortunately died from a seizure just before his 11th birthday. I have been determined since childhood to dedicate my life to remember Christopher, and this bakery is my way to do just that. That same inspiration and determination to honor Christopher is also what drives Christopher’s Bakery to be a foodservice industry dessert leader. Family and food go hand-in-hand and we want our desserts to make every family experience just a little more memorable. Those experiences aren’t provided without passion, which is clear in the quality and standard of both our food and company. Premium ingredients, punctuality and effciency are tenets of our business. Those tenets are essential to creating and maintaining meaningful and proftable relationships with all our customers. Watching Christopher’s hardships and struggles also renewed my dedication to a friendly, welcoming environment that makes Christopher’s Bakery a joy for employees, vendors, suppliers and customers. Courtenay Harris, Founder & CEO 4 www.christophersbakery.com Social & Charitable Responsibility For over 2 years, Christopher’s Bakery has been working with Nicklaus Children’s Hospital in Miami, Florida. We have agreed to donate a portion of all our profts to them to support epilepsy and neuroscience patients and research through their Nicklaus Children’s Health Foundation. About 3 million adults and children are currently living with epilepsy and active cases of seizures. These can strike anywhere - while playing, running, walking or driving and can be very dangerous. Watching Christopher lose his life because of a seizure had a profound impact on our founder and his family. The condition SUDEP (Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy) claims the life of about 1 out of every 1,000 people with epilepsy each year. It may not be the most well known disease or condition, but we’re working to both raise awareness and end the suffering for those individuals and families living with it. In addition to working with Nicklaus Children’s Hospital, we also work with local homeless shelters and ex-offenders to provide food and jobs to those who have had a diffcult time getting back on their feet. We believe in working with our communities to improve the conditions for everybody. Many companies talk about their social responsibility without giving you the specifcs of what they’re doing for others. We don’t believe in emotionally manipulating you. We’re serious about our commitment to others and it’s all driven by Christopher.
