Alvechurch v Stratford Town Southern League Premier Central th Tuesday 29 September 2020 Season 2020/21 Fixtures and Results Game Day Today we welcome all connected with Stratford Town for this opening evening home fixture in the 2020/21 Southern League Premier Central. After the midweek FA Cup win, Church got back to league business last weekend, and were unlucky to not walk away with all three points after conceding a last minute, stoppage time, equaliser against Royston Town. There were many encouraging signs however after the debacle at Hitchin the previous weekend. So Church were off the mark with a point, and tonight’s visitors Stratford have also had a mixed start in the league, despite a great win in the FA Cup. A win at Bromsgrove Sporting in the Cup followed a 2-1 home win over Kings Langley in the opening league game. But last weekend Stratford suffered a 2-4 reversal at Needham Market. Next up for Church, next Saturday, will be an FA Cup encounter with Kidderminster Harriers - all the more interesting as this will be the Harriers’ first competitive game of the season.
