NOVA 100 YOUR BACKSTAGE PASS TO THE COMEDY FESTIVAL

Nova 100 celebrates a seventh year as partner for one the most internationally respected comedy events, the International Comedy Festival.

Throughout the festival Nova will feature daily interviews with some of the best comedians, ticket giveaways to the hottest shows on the circuit and will cover the festival extensively on-line with reviews, highlights and videos, pop up comedy and interviews.

Helen Davies, Nova 100’s General Manager said, “Melbourne comes alive during the Comedy Festival and we are extremely excited to partner with this amazing event. Not only do we get to reflect the wide range of local and international comedians but we also get to create our own content to share with listeners and comedy fans.” Nova 100’s Meshel & Tommy breakfast show will broadcast live from Melbourne’s iconic Golden Towers restaurant in Swanston Street on Friday 11 April. Many of the comedians from the festival will drop by to join Meshel & Tommy live from 6am to 9am. Kate Langbroek will return to Nova to host Katie’s Komedy Kapers, a series of two hour comedy festival specials, every Sunday night from 30 March. Over four weeks Kate will be joined by Eddie Perfect, and and some of the hottest local and international comics appearing in this year’s festival. Kate will also host Friday Night Festival Fever from the Cherry Bar in AC/DC lane with comedians dropping in between shows for a drink or two. Following the successful debut of Nova’s ROFL Room last year, a live show featuring an array of comedians making a name on the comedy circuit, Nova will showcase even more comedians this year. Nova will hold three ROFL Rooms, over consecutive Saturday nights, at the Trade Hall from 29 March at 5pm. Tickets can only be won by listening to Nova. Meshel Laurie will be stepping outside the studio to interview some big names, including Dave Hughes (Hughesy), Denise Scott and Ronnie Chieng among others, for her Comedians in Carriages Drinking Tea shows. The interviews, conducted in a horse drawn carriage travelling throughout the city, can be seen on-line at novafm.com.au.
