6 On August 18, 2017, began a grueling construction schedule to beat the rains, a schedule that can only

be described as a labor of love. Dave Williams Community Spotlight became the day-to-day field foreman, overseeing construction. As their enthusiasm for the project grew, so did their ideas: adding astro-turf, raised fan seating and covered dug outs, with a professional ball park field became their dream and reality. Of course, a project of this scope is filled with challenges, especially since the labor was donated by those already working full-time jobs.
