COUNTY COUNCIL (BROADWELL, , , LANGFORD AND LITTLE ) (SPEED LIMITS) ORDER 20**

The Oxfordshire County Council, in exercise of its powers under Sections 82 & 84, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and of all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to that Act, hereby make the following Order.

1. This Order may be cited as the Oxfordshire County Council (Broadwell, Filkins, Kencot, Langford and Parishes) (Speed Limits) Order 20** and shall come into force on the ……. day of ……………. 20**.

2. No person shall drive any vehicle at a speed in excess of 20 miles per hour in any of the lengths of road specified in Schedule 1 to this order.

2. The roads specified in Schedule 2 to this Order shall be restricted roads for the purposes of section 81 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

3. No person shall drive any vehicle at a speed in excess of 30 miles per hour in any of the lengths of road specified in Schedule 2 to this order.

4. No person shall drive any vehicle at a speed in excess of 40 miles per hour in the length of road specified in Schedule 3 to this order.

5. No speed limit imposed by this Order applies to a vehicle falling within Regulation 3(4) of the Road Traffic Exemptions (Special Forces) (Variation and Amendment) Regulations 2011, being a vehicle used for naval, military or air force purposes, when used in accordance with regulation 3(5) of those regulations.

6. The following orders are hereby revoked and combined: The Oxfordshire County Council (Broadwell ) (Restricted Roads) Order 2001; the Oxfordshire County Council (Filkins and ) (Speed Limits) Order 2014; the Oxfordshire County Council (Kencot Parish) (Restricted Roads) Order 2001; the Oxfordshire County Council (Langford Parish) (Restricted Roads) Order 2001; and the Oxfordshire County Council (Little Faringdon Parish) (Restricted Roads) Order 2001.

SCHEDULE 1 20 miles per hour KENCOT The two parallel unnamed village roads running southwards from the B4477 – Filkins road which join as a single road to the Broadwell Parish boundary, at a point 490 metres north of its junction with Kings Lane, Broadwell.

SCHEDULE 2 30 miles per hour:

BROADWELL

The unnamed road running from a point 74 metres northeast of its southwest – northeast junction with the gated Calcroft Lane through the village north-eastwards to the Kencot Parish boundary at a point 490 metres north of its junction with Kings Lane.

FILKINS AND BROUGHTON POGGS

The whole length of every road in the parish of Filkins and Broughton Poggs, extending (in the case of the respective roads leading out of the village) as identified in the following:

(1) B4477 Alvescot to to its junction with A361 to road Filkins road (southwest end)

(2) B4477 Alvescot- to a point 18 meters northeast of its junction Filkins Road with the Hazells Lane (eastern end)

(3) Hazells Lane to its junction with B4477 Alvescot-Filkins road.

(4) The unnamed road to a point 60 meters northwest of its junction with running northwest Church Lane. wards towards Little Barrington

(5) The unnamed road to a point 60 meters north of its junction with the running northwards unnamed road running in a general south- to meet the A361 easterly direction towards Broadwell. Burford - Lechlade road

(6) The unnamed road to a point 15 meters northeast of its junction with running in a general the unnamed road running northwards to meet south-easterly direction A361 Burford-Lechlade road. towards Broadwell

(7) The unnamed road to its crossroads junction with the B4477 running south-eastwards Alvescot-Filkins road. towards Langford

KENCOT

The whole length of every road in the village of Kencot extending (in the case of the respective roads leading out of the village) to the following points:

(1) B4477 Filkins - Alvescot road a point 305 metres west of its (western end) junction with the most westerly road running south into Kencot village.

(2) B4477 Filkins - Alvescot road a point 50 metres east of its (eastern end) junction with the most easterly road running south into Kencot village.

(3) The unnamed road, known the parish boundary at a point 490 locally as Broadwell Road, metres north of its junction with running southwards to Kings Lane (in the parish of Broadwell Broadwell).

LANGFORD

The whole length of every road in the village of Langford extending (in the case of the respective roads leading out of the village) to the following points:

(1) Broadwell Road a point 238 metres north of its junction with Filkins Road.

(2) Filkins Road a point 167 metres north-west of its junction with Broadwell Road.

(3) Lechlade Road a point 100 metres south-west of its junction with The Elms.

(4) The unnamed road running a point 180 metres south-east of south-eastwards to Grafton its junction with Hooks Close.

LITTLE FARINGDON

The whole length of every road in the village of Little Faringdon extending (in the case of the respective roads leading out of the village) to the following points:

(1) The unnamed road running northwest – southeast its junction with the A361 Burford - through the village (north- Lechlade road. western end)

(2) The unnamed road running a point 43 metres south-east of its northwest – southeast junction with the unnamed road running through the village (south- north-east to Langford. eastern end) (3) The unnamed road running a point 43 metres north east of its north-east to Langford junction with the unnamed road running northwest – southeast through the village.

FILKINS AND BROUGHTON POGGS

The unnamed road from a point 60 meters north of its junction with running northwards to the unnamed road running in a general south- meet A361 Burford- easterly direction towards Broadwell, northwards Lechlade road for a distance of 339 meters.
