Symptom Screening Stay home if you are sick. Before attending any program, you may be asked to fill out a waiver indicating that you and/or your children are not experiencing symptoms. Anyone responding “yes” to any health screening questions will not be permitted to attend programming

Program waivers/Informed Consent All participants are required to review and acknowledge the program waivers/ informed consent

CANCELLATION POLICY

1. Program withdrawals will be accepted for a 25% fee a minimum of 7 days prior to the commencement of programming. 2. No withdrawal refunds will be provided within 7 days of the program start date. Full refunds for registrants experiencing symptoms of COVID-19. 3. Withdrawals for medical reasons are permitted with no penalty prior to the program start date. Withdrawals for medical reasons after the program start date will be provided a prorated refund without withdrawal fee. Refunds will be provided upon receipt and acceptance of a valid doctor’s note. 4. Program cancellations by Red Deer County administration will be determined 7 days in advance of intended program start date and full refunds will be provided. Individuals will be notified via the email address or phone number provided upon registration.

QIGONG SHIBASHI

Pronounced Chi-Gong, this class is a healing art similar to Tai Chi that combines movement, breathing and meditation for relaxation and fitness. Perfect for aging adults, new practitioners, and people interested in trying something new. Qi gong, when regularly practiced, is known to improve physical health, balance, brain function and mental health. All prices include GST.

You get out of this class what you put into it! Come prepared to challenge yourself, sweat and have fun! All fitness levels welcome, as our certified instructor will be able to give modifications for easier exercises and lighter weights, or challenge you to push yourself to do the more difficult versions. 8 RED CROSS STAY SAFE AND BABYSITTING COURSES

These Red Cross certified courses are available in your community! In both the Stay Safe (formerly Home Alone) and Babysitting courses, participants will learn how to be responsible, prepare for being home alone, recognize unsafe situations at home and around the neighbourhood and handle emergency situations when on their own or caring for others.

Participants must bring a nut-free snack/lunch, water/juice, and their own pen or pencil. Participants will also need to bring a doll or stuffie to practice on. For decades, Family and Community Support Services (FCSS) has been working as a provincial- municipal government initiative to enhance the social well-being of individuals, families and community in an effort to keep people resilient, well and from falling into crisis.Through a variety of approaches, the Red Deer County FCSS Community Workers provide direct services to the community or empower the local community to take action on broader community social matters.
