Unger is an attorney and CEO of HMU Consulting, Inc. and founding principal of Affinity Consulting Group, LLC, a nationwide consulting company providing legal technology consulting, training, and continuing legal education. Prior to forming HMU in February of 2000, he was vice president of a Columbus‐based technology consulting firm. Mr. Unger spent five years at Clark, Perdue, Roberts & Scott Co., L.P.A., limiting his practice to civil litigation. He specializes in trial presentation & litigation technology consulting, document and case management software, paperless office strategies, and legal‐ specific software training for law firms and legal departments throughout the Midwest. Mr. Unger has provided trial presentation consultation for 300+ cases. Mr. Unger is a member of The American Bar Association, the Ohio and Columbus Bar Associations, and the Ohio Association for Justice and the Central Ohio Association for Justice. He is very active in the Law Practice Management Section of the American Bar Association, and served as Chair of ABA TECHSHOW 2011 ‐ 25th Year Anniversary. He is also an Adjunct Professor for Capital University Law School's Paralegal Program. Paul is a national speaker and frequent lecturer for CLE programs. He is the author of Adobe Acrobat for Law Firms, PowerPoint for Legal Professionals, and co‐author of Microsoft Word for Legal Professionals, all manuals designed to maximize the use of legal‐specific features. Mr. Unger is a national speaker and frequent lecturer for CLE programs. iPad for CLE Professionals Page 1 Copyright 2012 © INTRODUCTION AND TOUR OF IPAD The iPad is quickly becoming a very useful tool for lawyers. It is one of the biggest innovations in legal technology in the past two years. The iPad’s design is ingenious and handsome. Its functionality is equally as nice and continues to improve as legal software developers rush to create apps for lawyers. Several new legal-specific apps appear almost on a weekly basis. Tablets have integrated themselves into the workflow of attorneys irrespective of firm size or practice area, and nowhere has that been more true than at trial. From note taking, to exhibit marking and handling, to deposition transcript management, these little computers can supercharge your litigation practice. Our presentation will discuss how to use tablet computers to enhance your presentations; these materials will give more of a general overview on using the iPad in your practice. What is it and Why? I like to describe the iPad as an “instant-on” computer that you can control with your finger. There’s no booting-up process … no keyboard needed … It is instant access to information traditionally accessed from your desktop computer or laptop. It was designed as a “consumption” device … a device used primarily for reading/accessing information and very light typing, but it’s ease-of-use and big screen is so addicting that it has morphed and has been adapted to do way more than Apple and Steve Jobs originally intended. If you carry around a legal pad or folders, the iPad can become your legal pad and digital folder. It is sparking new life and re-defining the phrase “Paperless Office.” iPad for CLE

Faith Matters works on integration, cohesion, hate crime and countering extremism projects. Faith Matters was one of six organisations working together to address the increase in anti-Semitic and anti-Muslim sentiments in Europe by supporting tolerance and respect for different faiths, religious beliefs and ethnicities within MURAL (‘mutual understanding, respect and learning’), a project that ran from 2018-2019 in six European countries – Germany, Greece, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal and the United Kingdom. The MURAL project was led by the British Council. It promoted the principles of pluralistic and democratic societies. It aimed to foster transnational cooperation, exchange of knowledge and exchange of best practice to encourage tolerance and counter attitudes that contribute towards acts of hatred and discrimination. MURAL partners brought together an empowered network of social activists and key stakeholders who became agents of positive change in their communities. The project harnessed people’s power for advocacy and their desire for social change to creatively engage the people they live and work with. Some of the MURAL social action projects led by Faith Matters UK participants were around improving critical thinking and social media literacy skills that can help counter extremist, hateful, and racist narratives online, assist in identifying bots and cyborgs, and provide practical ways to resist and counter extremist narratives. As part of this, Faith Matters UK participants have developed this series of toolkits to provide practical and legal information around discrimination and hate crimes.

These new add-ons are available in the latest version of the developer's Firefox Preview. You can try them early by downloading Nightly Build from Google Play. While Night builds are designed for developers and often suffer from stability issues, downloading it so won't re-write any other version of Firefox Preview you've installed. If something doesn't work, you can just delete the browser and swap back for the more stable version of Firefox Preview you used before.
