Daiya Seto in Gara Per L’ISL Daiya Seto in gara per l’ISL written by Redazione | 27 Settembre 2019 Il forte mistista giapponese Daiya Seto (25) è l’ultimo atleta ad aggiungersi al circuito International Swimming League (ISL), farà parte del club Energy Standard di coach James Gibson. Seto, che ai recenti Campionati del Mondo di luglio a Gwangju ha vinto i 200 e 400 misti, risulta il primo nuotatore giapponese ad aderire all’ISL e anche il primo asiatico. Saranno in gara nell’intero circuito ISL oltre 100 atleti che hanno preso parte ai Giochi Olimpici, tra cui 41 medaglie d’oro Di Rio 2016. In Italia il circuito sarà trasmesso in diretta streaming da Eurosport. COMUNICATO STAMPA ISL IL GIAPPONESE DAIYA SETO SI UNISCE ALL’ENERGY STANDARD PER COMPETERE NEL CAMPIONATO INTERNAZIONALE DI NUOTO La stella giapponese Daiya Seto è l’ultimo atleta ad iscriversi all’International Swimming League (ISL), entrando a far parte del club Energy Standard. Seto è il primo nuotatore giapponese a aderire all’ISL e anche il primo atleta dall’Asia. Seto, 25 anni, è reduce da una prestazione straordinaria ai Campionati del Mondo di luglio a Gwangju, in Corea del Sud, dove ha vinto nei 200 e nei 400 misti maschili. Per il medagliato olimpico con un bronzo nel 2016, quella nei 400 misti è stato il suo terzo podio più importante. Ha dichiarato: “Sono molto contento di giocare un ruolo in questa rivoluzionaria dimensione nel mondo del nuoto, e non vedo l’ora di competere con il mio team Energy Standard. Farò del mio meglio per contribuire il più possibile con i miei compagni di squadra”. James Gibson, head coach della parigina Energy Standard, ha dichiarato: “Daiya rappresenta un importante ingresso nel nostro team. Con l’ISL sarà possibile apprezzalo mentre compete contro i migliori nuotatori del mondo prima di gareggiare ‘in casa’ alle Olimpiadi 2020 di Tokyo. Spero che i fan supportino Daiya e tutto il team”. Circa il 75% di tutti gli attuali campioni olimpici e detentori di record mondiali si sfideranno nella prima lega professionistica di nuoto a squadre. Otto club – Cali Condors, DC Trident, Aqua Centurions con sede in Italia, Energy Standard, LA Current, NY Breakers, l’ungherese Iron e i London Roar – gareggeranno in un format innovativo basato su una stagione regolare, che va da ottobre a dicembre, negli Stati Uniti e in Europa. Roster di stelle del nuoto per ciascuna squadra con un massimo di 28 atleti – 14 uomini e 14 donne – che gareggeranno individualmente per ottenere punti per il proprio team. Il tabellone vedrà conteggiato il punteggio di ciascun match, con i primi quattro club in classifica – due europei e due statunitensi – che si giocheranno il titolo di campioni della prima edizione di ISL nella grande finale di Las Vegas in calendario per dicembre. Sono oltre 100 gli olimpici nell’ISL, tra cui 41 vincitori di medaglie d’oro ai Giochi olimpici del 2016. Ciò che distingue l’ISL è che i nuotatori riceveranno sia un riconoscimento economico per le loro performance sia su base individuale sia per i risultati raggiunti dal team. Durante ogni partita della stagione regolare saranno assegnati circa 180.000 $ e quasi 1,5 milioni di $ per la sfida finale di dicembre a Las Vegas. Le assegnazioni tra componenti di ciascun team saranno effettuate senza nessuna distinzione tra uomini e donne. L’ISL coinvolgerà gli appassionati con competizioni che caratterizzeranno due ore ad alta velocità ogni fine settimana. Un team di professionisti televisivi, digitali e dell’intrattenimento sportivo saranno all’opera per rendere ciascun scenario di gara unico sia per i nuotatori sia per gli spettatori. L’ISL sarà anche uno spettacolo televisivo e in streaming in diretta per milioni di fan in tutto il mondo grazie a una serie di accordi tra cui: Eurosport in Europa, Asia e Paesi del Sud Est asiatico, e Channel Seven in Australia.     #4 ISL (B) BUDAPEST – WR 100 DO – Minna Atherton 54.89 (VIDEO) written by Redazione | 27 Ottobre 2019 La copertina della seconda e conclusiva giornata di gare della ISL di Budapest (Girone B) è tutta per la diciannovenne australianaMinna Atherton (London Roar), che dopo aver fatto le prove generali di record del mondo dei 100 dorso ad inizio giornata con la staffetta mista (55.12 record australiano), lo ottiene qualche minuto dopo in gara individuale (54.89), la dorsista classe 2000 è la prima donna al mondo capace di coprire la distanza sotto il muro dei 55 secondi (sotto il video della gara), il precedente primato apparteneva all’ungherese Katinka Hosszu (55″04) che ha potuto vivere il nuovo WR direttamente dal campo gara essendo capitana ed atleta del team Iron. Adesso occorrerà aspettare l’omologazione del primato da parte di FINA. Per il resto della giornata segnaliamo che l’australiano Kyle Chalmers ha vinto i 100 stile libero sul russo Vladimir Moroz con un crono identico a quello nuotato da Caeleb Dressel a Napoli (45.77). La sprinter francese Beryl Gastaldello ha la meglio su tutte nei 50 farfalla con il novo primato nazionale (24.92), medesima cosa al maschile per l’ungherese Szebasztian Szabo (22.20). La prossima tappa del circuito si svolgerà il 16 e 17 novembre a College Park nello stato del Maryland (USA) con i seguenti team in gara Cali Condors, DC Trident, LA Current e NY Breakers. King, a two-time Olympic gold medalist, wrapped up her collegiate career with the Indiana Hoosiers this past March, and ventures into the world of professional sports just as swimming takes a leap forward. “It’s really nice that I turned pro and now there is a league for pro swimmers,” said the 11-time World Champion in an interview. “There is a designated path for professionals that wasn’t really established even last year. I think it’s going to encourage more swimmers to stay in the sport after college.” The ISL format has many similar aspects of college swimming in the United States, including team-based scoring, short course racing (albeit in meters rather than yards), and quick sessions. King, 22, feels this will be more appealing to viewers and will aid in growing the sport. “I think the single session and SCM (short course meters) format is going to make it more exciting to watch,” she said. “Having more meets being televised is also going to make swimming more visible to the public.” In addition to the format being more engaging for the fans, the eight-time NCAA champion also thinks the athletes, particularly fellow U.S. swimmers, will enjoy the new rule-set. “I know the American pro athletes definitely miss college swimming, so I think the team scoring will be giving us some flashbacks to our NCAA days.” Two aspects the ISL has implemented outside of the pool is a zero tolerance stance on doping (any athlete with a positive test is not allowed to compete) and equal pay between men and women.
