  • Wereldkampioen! Voor De 16E Keer Is Zoja Golubeva ( Зоя Аляксандраўна Голубева) Wereldkampioen Bij De Dames Geworden
Zoja wereldkampioen!

  • Short Report of the FMJD Council Meeting in Tallinn, October 2 and 3, 2016 Page 1
Short report of the FMJD Council Meeting in Tallinn, October 2 and 3, 2016 page 1 Present: Harry Otten, president, Jacek Pawlicki, tournament Director, Johan Demasure, Tournament Director Youth, Frank Teer, General Secretary, Richard Beckwith, president of the Checkers federation, Janek Mäggi, president of the European Draughts Confederation. The FMJD council will start work on IOC recognition; all federations will be invited to support the request. One of the conditions for IOC recognition is that FMJD should have a players committee. The FMJD council will invite players to participate in this committee. FMJD will not pay any more by cash for players prize money and travel expenses but only by bank account or similar controllable transfers. Starting 1-1-2017 FMJD will only accept payments of fees via the FMJD bank account or via a paypal application on the FMJD website. This is valid for membership fees, tournament fees and participation fees. Alexei Chizhov will be the FMJD representative for the FMJD China Training Centre created in May 2015. Software for the FMJD Swiss system and for the FMJD rating system is currently being developed by the Polish developer of the Chess Arbiter software, Adam Curylo. The Council of FMJD is very disappointed by the article of FMJD players representative Mr. Wiersma about the withdrawal from the World title match by our World Champions Alexander Georgiev and Zoja Golubeva. In his article he accuses the World Champions, Dutch federation, Dutch sponsors and members of the FMJD council of fraud without giving any proof for his accusations. The World Title match Groenendijk – Boomstra will be held in 3 cities in the Netherlands from 2 to 18 December 2016.

Chief Editor: Jos Jacobs, Layout Editor: George Hatzidakis Bulletin 9 - Monday, 13 October 2008 LATVIA JOINS THE GOLD RUSH A. Getmanski, A. Georgiev, G. Valneris (Draughts) T. Chub, Z. Golubeva, T. Tansykkuzhina (Draughts) After a full week’s play, both the individual draughts events came to an end last night. The format has not been ideal as the narrow time schedule did not allow possibly endless tie-breaks whenever they might be needed. Still, in both the women’s and the men’s event the gold medal was won by worthy representatives of this great Mind Sport. It will not come as a great surprise that both champions have Eastern European roots. In the Chess Mixed Teams, there was an eastern su- premacy too, but not from Europe. It was the Far East and the Middle East who qualified for the semis and thus would divide the medals between them. Indonesia reached the dreaded 4th spot, just behind Iran, Vietnam and, at Chess Vietnam, China, Iran (Chess) too now, the host country China. 1st World Mind Sports Games Beijing, China Today’s Programs First draughts medals!
