11/16/2017 VEXAG 13 Call for Papers for: 5th International Planetary Dunes Workshop Special Issue • Submission acceptance begins: 01 October 2017 Submission deadline through: 15 January 2018 • Organizers: Simone Silverstro, INAF Osservatorio Astronomico Capodimonte Timothy Titus, US Geological Survey • This issue will include papers from the 5th Annual Planetary Dunes Workshop that was held in May 2017 in St. George, Utah. All the papers focusing on aeolian and fluvial bedforms on different bodies of our Solar System (including Earth) are welcomed. The papers of the special issue can focus on all aspects of the mechanism of bedform formation and development (, geomorphology, sedimentology, physics of transport and modeling). Papers on yardangs morphology and development are also welcomed. Attendance at the workshop is not required to submit a paper to this special issue. • Special collection submissions can be submitted to JGR-Planets. • For additional information, please contact: [email protected]

11/16/2017 VEXAG 14 The Next Workshop • San Jose, CA Area? • May 2019 • Focus • Decadal Survey • Missions • Analogs and Laboratory Facilities • Thick Atmospheres • Venus • Oceans and Rivers as Analogs • www.mars-dunes.org • Website has expanded to include many worlds. • http://astrogeology.usgs.gov/geology/mars- dunes/workshops

11/16/2017 VEXAG 15 Venus Participation Needed

• Sub-aqueous dune analog session • Venus input into “Findings” • Why do we only observe two Large Dune Fields? • Are their micro dune fields? • Request funding for invited travel for 3 speakers (sub-aqueous) and ~7 students. • This is in addition to support from Mars Exploration Program (3 Students)
