GETTING TO AWAROA LODGE Due to our remote location the Lodge is not accessible by road so the quickest way to reach us is by water or helicopter transfer. Please ensure you make transfer arrangements at the time of booking; talk to Awaroa Lodge about packages and pricing.

From Abel Tasman SeaShuttle will collect you from your Nelson hotel and transfer you to Kaiteriteri to meet their large and comfortable Nelson cruising catamaran for a scenic cruise to Awaroa Bay. Allow up to 3 hours. From Abel Tasman Seashuttle scheduled daily departures year round from Kaiteriteri as above; secure car parking is available for Lodge Kaiteriteri guests – please enquire. Allow 1.5 hrs for cruise. Contact details the same as above. From Abel Tasman Aqua Taxi departing from Marahau, the Abel Tasman Aqua Taxi operates a small boat which gets you close to the Marahau scenery and wildlife on the way. Designed for the more adventurous, the Aqua Taxi will get you to the lodge with speed. On Foot Awaroa Lodge offers an opportunity to discover one of New Zealand’s Great Walks. Guests arriving at the lodge can walk part of the coastal track and have their luggage brought over on a water taxi.
