Airmyn Emergency Team. All Town and Parish Councils are encouraged by ERYC to have an Emergency Plan, which, where possible, should be supported by an Emergency Team. Airmyn Emergency Team are there to respond to any significant emergency within the Parish, liaising with ERYC and the emergency services to help minimise the impact of the emergency. All members are volunteers from the parish. Recent emergency events in other areas of Yorkshire show how these events can affect communities and the important part that volunteers play in helping the community get through them. Our Emergency Team met in July and reviewed the current set up of the group, made some modifications and improvements to ensure we are ready to respond. We’ve had a few members, for various reasons, withdraw from the group – thanks are expressed for their time as members.
