Position Description POSITION DESCRIPTION This role is: Game Day Stage Manager Job Status: CMS Australasia Contracted Employee Game Day Location: In-Stadium This role reports to: CMS Event Producer - Sports Position Overview The Game Day Floor Manager will undertake the lead role in the delivery of all game day in- stadium entertainment and fan engagement activations at all South East Melbourne Phoenix Home Games. Responsibilities and Duties • Have a complete understanding of the game day run sheet and identify the required entertainment and fan engagement activations • Have an open line of communication with the show caller to ensure that game day run sheet time frames and deliverables are achieved • Be the key link for communications between the game day show caller and entertainment performers • Assume key contact point for all game day performers and escalate queries as required • Have direct communication with entertainment managers/minders to ensure they are in place and have understanding of activation requirements.     Shawn Redhage Captain of the Perth Wildcats Born in Florida Shawn grew up in Nebraska USA and is now a naturalised Australian professional basketball player. He currently plays for Perth Wildcats in the Australian National Basketball League and has been captain of the team since 2009. He is one of the top players in the Australian NBL and was voted into the Top Five Most Valuable Players List in 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010. In the United States, Shawn received the Nebraska Player of the Year Award in 1998/99 after a stunning senior year with Nebraska State High School. After high school, Shawn began studying and playing for Arizona State University and helped lead the team to their 4th NCAA tournament appearance in the last 30 years and graduated with honors in Construction Management. Shawn became a professional basketball player in 2004 when he moved to Australia and played in the SEABL for the NW Tasmania Thunder. He was instrumental in SEABL’s championship and was awarded MVP (Most Valuable Player) honours in the League and Club. He began his NBL career in September 2004 with the New Zealand Breakers but was released mid-season after playing only 13 games, when the Breakers decided to sign veteran import Marcus Timmons. Shawn returned to SEABL to play for Bendigo Braves after his departure from the Breakers. In his time with the Braves he led them to the National Championship while claiming his second league MVP award averaging a league best average of 35 points per game. Shawn joined the Perth Wildcats in 2005, where he instantly made an impact and earned the nickname of The Scoring Machine on his way to finishing second for the league MVP award.

    TAIPANS FUTURE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM TAIPANS FUTURE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM Program Description: The Taipans Future Development Program is the first step in the elite development pathway for Far North Queensland. It is designed to identify and work with talented players from 10 to 13 and is an integral part of the Taipans Player pathway. It is aimed at teaching technical and tactical elements of Basketball along with introducing athletes and coaches to essential sports science areas. The program is run under the direction of Cairns Basketball and will follow the new nationally developed skill development curriculum designed by Basketball Australia under the guidance of Cairns Taipans Coaches. Age: 10 to 13 year olds Program Numbers: Approxiametly 50 boys and 50 girls will be selected to the Taipans Future Development Program from the Under 12 and Under 14 age groups.
