For schools who would like to bring their pupils for an educational experience, we offer reduced rates from Monday to Friday. The group will be accompanied by a qualified ranger who will provide the scholars with detailed information on the fauna and flora. Please enquire with the booking office for more information. Introduction The Rhino & Lion Nature Reserve, situated within the Cradle of Humankind, is a privately owned game reserve covering some 1200 hectares with over 650 heads of game from over 25 different species of antelope, big game, predators and birds, as well as some very rare and endangered species. The management and staff welcome you and trust that you will enjoy your visit.
Day Visitors Day visitors can explore the reserve in their own vehicles along well-maintained gravel roads suited for any vehicle, with a few branching 4x4-exclusive roads for the more adventurous explorer. A leisurely drive through the reserve will take approximately 2-3 hours and usually ends with a stop at the Kiosk / Day Visitors Centre where many braai and picnic facilities are available, along with the Boma Restaurant and Croc Pub, Children's Play Park, Wildlife Centre and Reptile Park. Other facilities include the incredible Wondercave, the Neck & Deck Café situated just outside the entrance of the reserve where one can feed a giraffe, the Breeding Centre, Hippo Pools, Thatch Café and the Cradle Bike Park. With such a variety of fun-filled adventure, we guarantee there's something for everyone! Included Activities

Features Description Day drives Night drives Join us on a two-hour game drive and see a host of wild life ranging from rhino, buffalo, wild dog, cheetah and 20 different Private drives species of antelope. Feel the rush of adrenaline as you seek out 2 Hour tour the king himself and approach him and his lionesses in an open game viewer under the guidance of an experienced ranger. Experienced guide We offer the nocturnal animal lover, the opportunity to do night drives. You will also be taken to our Reptile Centre to see a variety of indigenous and exotic reptiles as well as the Wildlife Centre to experience some of beautiful local wildlife up close. We offer a service whereby cooler boxes with a range of refreshments can be supplied.

Introduction Situated close to the braai and picnic areas at the reserve’s Kiosk / Day Visitors Centre is the Children’s Playpark - an area outfitted for the sole purpose of entertaining your children.
Overview The venue offers a host of activities that children can use such as: 3 d i f f e r e n t j u m p i n g c a s t l e s , trampolines, a foefie slide, jungle gyms, swings, rope climbing, suspended net and a large grassy area to play on. The venue also has a restaurant with a full menu, serving a variety of light meals and refreshments.

Looking out on the Kromdraai Conservancy, the Wondercave is surrounded by game farms with an abundance of both wild and bird life. Formations This natural wonder, opened to the public Up to 14 different formations in 1991, boasts an enormous single can be seen from rim stone chamber, which one enters by elevator, pools, cave pearls, stalactites, along sidewalls decorated with beautiful s t a l a g m i t e s , p o p c o r n formations up to fifteen meters high.
