Per Günther, „Ins kalte Wasser...“ Philipp Schwethelm und Daniel Theis standen dem DBB-Journal für ein ausführliches Gespräch zur Verfügung und zeigten sich gut gelaunt, auch wenn es im Verein gerade nicht so lief. Der Weg nach Wasserburg erschien uns sehr weit, und so haben wir ein kleines Experiment gewagt. Um Damen-Bundestrainerin Alex Maerz und eine ihrer wichtigsten Spielerinnen trotz der großen Entfernung an einen Tisch zu bringen, haben wir Anne Breitreiner im beschaulichen Grünberg einfach per Skype mit ins Gespräch geholt. Gut möglich, dass wir das künftig noch häufiger machen, denn es hat prima funktioniert und allen Beteiligten viel Spaß gemacht. Herren-Bundestrainer Frank Menz und DBB-Sportdirektor Peter Radegast weilten längere Zeit in den USA, um die deutschen „College-Boys“ zu besuchen und zu begut- Interview mit Alex Maerz und achten.
