  • Job Van Uitert Wins Race 3 at Imola, Ahead of Leonardo Lorandi And
Press Release Number 34 / 2017 Job Van Uitert wins Race 3 at Imola, ahead of Leonardo Lorandi and Marcus Armstrong In the Rookie Trophy Lorandi takes the victory, followed by Fittipaldi and Carrara Imola 10/09/2017 – When Race 3 of the Italian F4 Championship got un- derway - earlier than expected 16:15 instead of 17:00 due to uncertain weather conditions - the sky was cloudy but there was no rain falling for the previous 90 minutes. The track is therefore almost completely dry, which is why the drivers lined up with slick tyres. For safety reasons, however, the race began behind the Safety Car and the race time was reduced from 28’ + 1 lap to 21' + 1 lap. Once underway, it is again the Dutchman Job Van Uitert (Jenzer Motorsport), who already won Race 2, who took the lead im- mediately and then went on to take the checkered flag unchallenged. Be- hind him, however, the battle is intense and the main protagonist is the Estonian Juri Vips (Prema Power Team), who at the first braking point goes from 6th to 4th and, at the end of the second lap, is already up to third. On the sixth lap, Vips tried to overtake the Indian Kush Maini (Jenzer Motor- sport), who goes headlong and also forces his rival to widen in the sand- trap. The two finish in sixth (Vips) and ninth (Maini) positions respectively. • The Italian Leonardo Lorandi (Bhaitech) and New Zealander Marcus Arm- strong (Prema Power Team), second and third respectively, take advantage of this situation. In fourth place is Venezuelan Fernandez, a great result for him considering that he started ninth on the grid.

SAUCY IS THE FASTEST AT ADRIA COLLECTIVE TESTS Morning and afternoon, it is always the Swiss Grégoire Saucy to set the best lap times of the collective tests 20/04/2018 – In the collective tests in Adria, that have taken place today, the day just before the first appointment of the 2018 F4 Championship Powered by Abarth, Grégoire Suacy (Jenzer Motorsport) has been the fastest both in the morning and in the afternoon, with 1’15”621, then improved to 1’15”419. Second of the day has been the Italian Federico Malvestiti (Jenzer Motorsport) with 1’15”466, and third another Italian, Leonardo Lorandi (Bhaitech Srl), setting best lap time at 1’15”547. “We have worked well with Team Jenzer, also thanks to the fact that with 6 drivers we have a lot of data to share”, Saucy has commented. “Circuit is not long, but it is quite difficult as it has many curves. Still, I like it and I have felt comfortable. I had some issues with the chicanes, but we fixed the problem.” Astonishing is the number of laps driven by the young drivers of the Italian F4 Championship Powered by Abarth, among which some have come close to 150. Total number of laps driven by the 31 drivers at Adria has equalled 3301, for total 8919 km. All of this, together with the constant support of the instructors of the Scuola Federale ACI Sport, is key for the preparation, maturation and safety of the drivers that, often, come directly from karting. Tomorrow from 10:20 to 11:00 and from 13:10 to 13:50 Official Free Practice are programmed, while Qualifying will be organized in two sessions from 17:40 to 17:55 and from 18:05 to 18:20.
