The 1992-93 squad managed to turn Kelly Walter, 2nd team the trick twice, as Sands, Morgan and Melissa Graham dropped Princess German, 2nd team Nicole Anderson, 2nd team double-doubles in a win against Quincy Dec. 5, 1992. The fi rst-ev- er occurrence was Jan. 25, 1984, when Debbie Law, Kristie Swing All-Midwest Region, Daktronics Princess German, G, 2nd team and LuAnn Humphrey did it against Wright State.

Junior Princess German earned Scorer of the Year by dropping 17.9 points per game, second-most in the GLVC. Finally, freshman Sarah Costello was named Most Improved for her progression dur- ing the season. She started the season coming off the bench, but quickly captured a starting role, leading the team in assists (78) and steals (50).

Yes, I Chan: Senior Daniel Chan ended his UIndy career by adding another All-America honor to his resume. A native of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Chan collected All-America Honorable Mention by fi nishing eighth in the consolation fi nal of the 200 butterfl y at the NCAA D-II championships. Chan is now a four-time All-Ameri- can in the event and eight-time overall. His highest fi nish came in 2014 when he placed fi fth in the 200 fl y.

Chan holds school records as part of both the 200 medley relay (1:28.40) and 800 free relay (6:41.05) teams while appearing in the UIndy top 10 in eight other events, including second in the 400 IM (3:56.25) and second in the 200 fl y (1:47.73).

GLVC COP Academic Excellence Award Take A Dive: In the brief two-year history of the GLVC Swimming Adil Assouab and Diving Championships, UIndy senior Tyler Offutt has amassed Risa Ricard a league-high four gold medals on the diving board. Offutt won the GLVC Team Academic Award one-meter and three-meter competitions in both 2014 and 2015 on UIndy women’s swimming & diving team the way to capturing GLVC Male Diver of the Year honors both years. New Guy In Town: In continuing the Greyhounds’ dominance in the throwing events, freshman Austin Hogan earned the GLVC Outdoor Freshman of the Year honors, after taking second in the shot put. The freshman went on to All-American in his rookie Greyhound campaign, taking sixth in the discus at the 2015 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field Championships at Grand Val- ley State.
