DIVERSIFYING CURRICULUM CONTENT For the 2020-21 school year, we released five U.S. History activities highlighting the experiences of LGBTQ Americans. We have also published new lessons in our social and emotional learning content library, including Understanding Culture and Diversity, LGBTQ, Equity, and Anti-Racism. In preparation for the 2021-22 school year, we will be releasing 10 new U.S. History activities to highlight the voices of Black, Latinx, and Indigenous peoples. We are also releasing a new one-semester elective for middle- and early high-school students called Civics and Citizenship. This course will feature a strong DEI lens as students examine what it means to be an engaged and responsible citizen.

ANTI-RACISM CURRICULUM We have partnered with Point Made Learning to offer Look Deeper: Race, a three-hour digital learning experience built around the documentary “I’m Not Racist…Am I?” This 6–12 curriculum, with an accompanying facilitator course, guides students through examination, conversation, and reflection around systemic racism in the United States as it follows real students grappling with complex issues.

CULTURALLY RESPONSIVE REVIEW We have partnered with Westchester Education Services to audit our content to ensure we are meeting the highest standards of culturally responsive educational curriculum. Based on their feedback, we have already updated hundreds of instances of language and imagery, as well as wholesale revisions of full lessons.
