The diverse culture and natural biodiversity of Malaysia makes for an interesting experience for a student from any other part of the world. Arguably, there are two things that define Malaysian culture: the food and the festivals. Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL) Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL) is a leading university in engineering technology and it is wholly owned by Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA). Universiti Kuala Lumpur is a unique university for several reasons, most notably UniKL campuses are located across the country, and not just in Kuala Lumpur. UniKL takes pride championing entrepreneurial HTVET through excellence in research, education, training, entrepreneurship, consultancy and community services. UniKL places strong emphasis on offering hands-on programmes, and provides the opportunity for students to learn from the experts in the respective fields. UniKL offers a range of study options: a pre-degree programme and Foundation Studies; undergraduate degrees; postgraduate programmes of study including Masters degree and PhDs. These include joint and articulation programmes, institutional study abroad programmes, staff and student exchange programmes and collaborative post-graduate programmes. UniKL MICET Edutourism Program Edutourism is based on the concept of knowledge-economy, in which “knowledge” is the key resource (Ojo & Yusofu, 2013) and it links education, tourism and economy. Institutions around the world use edutourism to make learning process more interesting (Perinotto, 2008), which in turn influences the internationalization of the institutions. UniKL MICET Edutourism program places “education first” in which students from partner university enjoy our program through excursions while exploring the unique culture and heritage of the Malaysian people, particularly those in Melaka.
