For Immediate Release January 14, 2004 For immediate release January 14, 2004 University of Southern Indiana 2003 fall semester Dean’s List The Dean’s List has been released for the 2003 fall semester at the University of Southern Indiana. Dr Linda Bennett, vice president for Academic Affairs and Provost, reported that 1,673 students were named to the latest honors list. Students must achieve a 3.5 or better grade point average (on 4.0 system) to be named to the list. This young family has been dealing with Michelle’s disease for two years. She is in kidney failure and requires dialysis at home most days. She is hoping to have a kidney transplant this year thanks in no small part to her husband, Ryan, who will do- 5 nate one of his kidneys in a kidney-sharing network.

    PRODUCTION NOTES TANK 432 (AKA BELLY OF THE BULLDOG) LOG LINE: From Executive Producer Ben Wheatley (Director ­ Kill List, High Rise), comes this knife­edged thriller about a band of mercenary soldiers battling to escape a mysterious, unseen enemy. SYNOPSIS: On the run and with nowhere to hide, a group of mercenaries find themselves surrounded by an unidentified enemy. As gunfire hails down and their mysterious pursuers begin to close in, they must keep moving to find safe shelter. The only chance of survival is to hide inside an abandoned tank discovered by inexperienced soldier, Reeves (Rupert Evans ­ Hell Boy, The Boy, Man in the High Castle). Once holed up inside the tank, they quickly discover the hatch is jammed and there is no way out. As the mercenaries begin their desperate search for anything that may aid their escape, they fall upon a shocking discovery: confidential files on dowens of soldiers; all listed as missing in action. Within those listed, are their own names. As discoveries are made inside the tank and they struggle to keep the forces outside at bay, little do they realise the real enemy is already amongst them, locked inside Tank 432. Cílem práce je zjistit a popsat to, jakým způsobem jsou hlavní postavy v uvedených seriálech zobrazovány, a to se zřetelem na to, s jakými genderovými či etnickými stereotypy jsou spojovány. První část diplomové práce je zaměřena na popis teoretických východisek výzkumu. Druhá část se pak věnuje metodologickému popisu, který směřuje k sekci poslední, a to samotnému zpracování analýzy postav, a to pomocí sémioticko-strukturální analýzy dle modelu navrženém Danielem Chandlerem.
