www.runmiddlesbrough.com www.runmiddlesbrough.com CHARITIES

CHARITIES NEED YOU! Would you like to make a difference to somebody’s life?

Would you like to feel you have physically achieved something?

Would you like to feel a sense of pride whilst being cheered on by thousands of people?

If you have answered ‘yes’ to one or more of the above, then the Taylor Wimpey Tees Pride 10k or the Cleveland Centre 3k Fun Run is for you... Signing up to one of the Event’s nominated charities enables you to make a difference to people’s lives. There’s no better feeling than crossing over the line at the Taylor Wimpey Tees Pride 10k irrespective of how fit (or unfit) you are - and it makes it that bit more special knowing you have done it for a worthy cause. The Sports Event Charity Team (SECT) work in partnership with Everyone Active to promote the Middlesbrough 10k, 5k, 3k and 2k events. Each member of SECT represents a different local charity, and by working together we strive to ensure that all the events are a success for Middlesbrough, and that all local good causes are well supported. On Sunday 2nd September, most of the associated charities will have a stand within our Athletes’ Village (see page 8), giving you the opportunity to talk to staff/volunteers and learn more about your chosen charity.
