Fyvie School Christmas fayre Barthol Chapel School We would like to thank all those who contributed to the success of Barthol Chapel School’s stall at Fyvie Christmas Fayre where we sold Bees Wax  St Katherines, , Wraps and Bird Feeders. Thanks to Vicky and Freya for making the , AB51 8TD wraps, Anne for donating the fabric and Brenda, Sarah and Katy who helped make the bird seed feeders with the children in school.  01651 267440

Reminders  [email protected] Christmas Show This year’s production is called “Bah Humbug a anderson It’s Christmas Eve and what a night! Or so it proves for the miserable, Mr Adrian Anderson miserly Ebenezer Scrooge, who finds himself visited by some rather Head Teacher unexpected characters! Through encounters with Jacob Marley and three very different ghosts, Scrooge is given the chance to revisit his past, weigh his present and glimpse his future. Will he take this once-in-a lifetime opportunity to change, or will he choose to remain in the bleak School Website and lonely world he has created for himself, bound by chains of www.bartholchapel.aberdeenshire.sch.uk selfishness and greed? Performances will be on Wednesday 11th December at 2pm and Thursday 12th December at 6:30pm. Tickets are NOW ON SALE at £3 each for adults and academy age children. Please send money into school (in an envelope) clearly named indicating how many tickets you would like and for which performance. Christmas Party This will be on the afternoon of Wednesday 18th December. Children can take ‘party clothes’ on the day to change into after lunch. Nativity This will be held on Friday 20th December in the church at 2pm. Families are welcome to come along. Afterwards, a coffee afternoon will take place in the school hall. We are expecting an important visitor at our Coffee Afternoon!!!! Children in Need – Friday 15th November The Health & Wellbeing Group organised a “Dress Down Day” for Children in Need on Friday 15th November. The Health and Wellbeing Group are delighted to share that £54.80 was raised on the day. Well done to everyone!! Congratulations to Tess, Sofia and Blair who gave Pudsey a terrific makeover in the drawing competition. Thank you

Barthol Chapel School

Message from Parent Council Chair Barthol Chapel School Thank you to those who replied indicating your preference for parent council meetings. The highest was coffee afternoons. Going forward we will try and  St Katherines, Inverurie, have parent council meetings at coffee afternoons when they line up with when a meeting is needed. There will be still the occasional meeting in the Aberdeenshire, AB51 8TD evening.  01651 267440 Next Friday 29th Nov. there will be a coffee afternoon + Parent Council Meeting at 2pm. This is an earlier time, as I need to leave at 3pm. But also  [email protected] give us plenty of time for a cuppa and catch up also. We need two volunteers to help with the tea and coffee - please get in contact a anderson if you feel you can help.

We will be covering getting ready for Christmas in the school and looking Mr Adrian Anderson forward into term 3. If there is anything that you would like to raise, please Head Teacher email me: [email protected]

Children will be coming home today with Raffle Tickets for the Christmas Draw which will take place on Thursday 12th December after the show. All primary schools in Aberdeenshire were asked to contribute one name each to enter the draw to name their area’s gritters. It appears that an entry submitted by Barthol Chapel School has been chosen “Sir Chilly Connelly”. Jamie, p7 created the name and it was voted the most popular at assembly. Well done to everyone who contributed.

Flu Vaccine

The School Nurse will be in school on Monday 25th November to administer the flu vaccine. Please note, if you have had your child vaccinated at a chemist, it is your responsibility to pass these details onto the school and your GP Practice to reduce the risk of duplicate vaccination. Please contact the school office if your child has been vaccinated at a chemist.

Christmas Lunch

This will be held on Tuesday 10th December and the lunch options for the pupils on this day are:

Roast Turkey & All the Trimmings or

Cheese Sandwich

Carrots, peas & Roast Potatoes

Christmas shortbread Or Ice Cream and Jelly

If your child does not want a Christmas Lunch, they are still able to take a packed lunch.
