Fujitec Recieve Order for Elevators with the World's Longest Travel March 26, 2018 Fujitec Co., Ltd. Fujitec recieve order for elevators with the world’s longest travel A group company of Fujitec Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Hikone City, Shiga, President and CEO: Takakazu Uchiyama) has won an order for three elevators to be installed. Huasheng Fujitec Elevator Co., Ltd.1 (Headquarters: Langfang City, Hebei Province; President: Yasuyuki Uchiyama) will thus deliver three elevators with the world’s longest travel2 at a hotel to be built in Chicheng County, Zhangjiakou, Hebei Province. The high-speed models prescribed in the order travel at 720 meters per minute. Chicheng County Snowland Traveling and Vacation Development Company (Chicheg Xian Xinxueguo Luyou Dujia Fazhan Youxian Gongsi) is developing the luxury hotel in which these Fujitec elevators will be used. 1. Huasheng Fujitec Elevator Co., Ltd. The Fujitec Group center of sales, research and development, and production of elevators in China 2. Travel The distance within a structure traveled by a single elevator 1 From inside the foot of the 2,159-meter-high mountain that forms part of the competition venue, the elevator shaft will be built up through the vertical hole that is now boring down through the center of the mountain, and will be dedicated to the luxury hotel to be opened at the summit. Traveling over a distance of 638 meters, information about these elevators will be submitted for official recognition in the Guinness World Records as the elevators having the longest travel. The boring work, which has been underway since 2016 to dig down through the mountain from the top, will be completed in 2018. Located in the Beijing suburbs, the area surrounding the completion grounds has been under development as a resort city with abundant tourist, leisure and residential facilities. The continued growth of Chinese fans of winter sports and the ongoing traffic infrastructure development make the future resort facilities likely to remain popular attractions. As a manufacturer specialized in people moving systems, Fujitec will continue to provide global customers with products featuring high safety and security standards. <Contact Us> Fujitec Co., Ltd. In this study, through the framework of Sustainable Livelihood Analysis (SLA) and questionnaire surveys, we examined forest transition, farmers’ land-use activities and livelihood changes in Chicheng county, a typical mountainous area in Northern China, during 1975–2018. Most villages of Chicheng county experienced forest transition during the period of 2003–2005, but some villages experienced forest transition in 2010–2015. Forest transition variation over time was influenced by land use and livelihood changes. Livelihood resources, policy and institutional constraints and livelihood strategies had significant influences on land use and then caused variation in forest transition characteristics.

The assemblage was restudied in more detail KEYWORDS by examining the entire assemblage of 55 tracks associated with two Theropod tracks horizons. The size range of the 27 measured tracks suggests a more Anchisauripus diverse grallatorid–eubrontid assemblage and potentially greater Grallatorid diversity of theropod trackmakers. The label Anchisauripus, which has Eubrontid fallen into disuse in some recent literature, implies trackmakers of Oviraptosaurs medium shape and size in the grallatorid–eubrontid morphological spectrum. However, given the presence of other theropod ichnotaxa in the Jurassic to Early Cretaceous strata of the Tuchengzi Formation and time equivalent units we suggest that explicit reference to the Grallator- Anchisauripus-Eubrontes (GAE) plexus, or simply the term Grallator- Eubrontes plexus be confined to Lower Jurassic assemblages as originally defined and intended.

It is suggested that the case of transformation of a region which is peri-urban to rural along its geographic scale, needs to be investigated further, precisely because the available information indicates, that the necessities of nature conservation condition a reduction of access to natural resources and disincentives to some development activities that contribute to keeping more population inside this region or attracting more population into it. This case demonstrates why the ESPA program is not simply focusing on environmental services, but takes poverty alleviation into account, based on global knowledge, that in the long term sustainability of ecosystem management cannot be achieved without addressing the needs of poor population groups that depend on such services.

  • Simulation and Scenario Analysis of Soil Erosion in the Miyun Reservoir Watershed
Sediment Budgets 2 (Proceedings of symposium S1 held during the Seventh IAHS Scientific Assembly at 194 Foz do Iguaçu, Brazil, April 2005). IAHS Publ. 292, 2005. Simulation and scenario analysis of soil erosion in the Miyun Reservoir watershed BAOLIN SU, HAIFENG JIA, JIANPING WANG, YUAN’AN HU & SHENGTONG CHENG Department of Environmental Science and Engineering, Tsinghua University, Beijing 100084, China [email protected] Abstract The Soil and Water Assessment Tool (SWAT) was applied to the Miyun Reservoir watershed to simulate soil erosion. Two tributaries within this watershed, the Chao and Bai rivers, were simulated separately and hydrological and soil erosion processes were calibrated and validated using observed data from downstream gauging stations. Data analyses and simulation results indicate that soil erosion in both sub-watersheds predominantly occurs during flood seasons, and soil erosion is closely correlated with the spatial distribution of rainfall. Although the Bai sub- watershed has a larger drainage area than the Chao sub-watershed, the former contributes less sediment to the Miyun Reservoir than the latter because two upstream reservoirs (Yunzhou and Baihepu) intercept upstream sediment. Several rainfall scenarios were set up to simulate the influence of changing rainfall patterns; as a result, key areas of soil erosion were identified. Key words Miyun Reservoir; scenario analysis; soil erosion; SWAT model INTRODUCTION The Miyun Reservoir is an important drinking water resource for Beijing, the capital of China. Although the local government has adopted strict regulations for controlling point-source pollution during the past 10 years, serious nonpoint-source pollution, associated with soil erosion in the watershed, remains a problem.

Approximately 55% of all liver cancer occurs in China. Hebei Province is one of the important covering nearly 6% of the population of China. The aim of this paper was to explore liver cancer mortality trends during past 30 years, and provide basic information on prevention strategies. Methods: Hebei was covered covered all the three national surveys during 1973-1975, 1990-1992, and 2004-2005 and one provincial survey during 1984-1986. Subjects included all cases dying from liver cancer in Hebei Province. Liver cancer mortality trend and geographic differences across cities and counties were analyzed. Results: There were 82,878 deaths in Hebei Province during 2004-2005 with an average mortality rate was 600.9/10,000, and an age-adjusted rate of 552.3/10,000. Those dying of cancer were 18,424 cases, accounting for 22.2% of all deaths, second only to cerebrovascular disease as a cause of death. Cancer mortality was 133.6/100,000 (age-adjusted rate was 119.2/100,000). Liver cancer ranked fourth in this survey with a mortality rate of 21.0/100,000, 28.4/100,000 in males and 13.35/10,000 in females, accounting for 15.7%, 17.1% and 13.4% of the total number of cancer deaths and in males and females, respectively.
