Barron Bremner, DO native and Mayo Clinic graduate, Dr. Bremner joined DMOS in 2007. Dr. Bremner’s practice encompasses most areas of general orthopaedics, though he has special interests in sports medicine, arthroscopy, elbow injuries and joint replacement. Dr. Bremner has obtained additional certification and testing completion in sports medicine, which is an area of particular interest to him. Dr. Bremner also offers the minimally invasive direct anterior hip replacement. As the recipient of three prestigious awards from the Mayo Clinic during his residency, including the Excellence in Joint Replacement award, Dr. Bremner is proficient in hip and knee procedures, as well as other sports-related injuries and conditions. Outside of practice, Dr. Bremner enjoys living an active lifestyle by participating in bicycle racing and triathlons. He also provides sideline orthopaedic coverage for Johnston High School and . Above all, Dr. Bremner enjoys family time to the fullest.

Jeffrey Bebensee, MD Dr. Bebensee is a family medicine doctor at UnityPoint Clinic - Family Medicine | Urgent Care - Merle Hay. He received his medical degree from the University of Iowa College of Medicine and has been in practice for 26 years. Dr. Bebensee is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. Areas of expertise include: pediatrics, sports medicine, vasectomy and women’s health.

Chris Wiedmann, ATC, LAT Chris is a graduate of Coe College and has been a Certified Athletic Trainer since 1998. He is also a Licensed Athletic Trainer by the state of Iowa. His job experiences includes the USHL Des Moines Buccaneers, Iowa Central Community College, , PDL and several area high schools as well as being responsible for the AAU Junior Olympics in 2004, 2009, 2014 and the 2013 Outdoor Track and Field Championships as the Medical Coordinator. Chris is a member of the National Athletic Trainer’s Association and member of the Iowa Athletic Trainers Society. What is the difference between an Athletic Trainer and a Physical Therapist?

Athletic Trainers According to DegreeDirectory.org, an athletic trainer assesses and rehabilitates bodily injuries from physical activities. They have a bachelor’s degree minimum. The key skills are to administer emergency or follow-up after athletic injury, apply bandaging/tape and supply medication, decide when an athlete is ready to resume normal activities and develop programs to education on preventative measures.
