The following tables and charts contain the most recent data available at 1st January 2013 and cover areas of public interest, including finance and commerce, transport and communications, population and employment. All tables and charts shown in the Digest refer specifically to the Isle of Man. Where comparative statistics are shown, the countries involved are denoted accordingly. The information contained in this publication is provided in broadly two ways. In part it is generated by the Economic Affairs Division itself, through exercises such as the Census, the Passenger Survey and the Earnings Survey. All other information is provided by a wide range of contributors within other Departments of Government. It is hoped that the contents of the 2013 Digest will meet the information requirements of those who refer to it.
