FORESTS ORDINANCE-

PROCLAMATION, NO. 4 OF 1943, BY THE HIGH COMMISSIONER.

IN EXERCISE of the powers vested in me by section 3 of the Forests Cap. 61. Ordinance,,!, SIR HAROLD ALFRED MACMICHAEL, G.C.M.G., D.S.O., High Commissioner for Palestine, do hereby proclaim that the lands described in the Schedule hereto are Forest Reserves under the control and management of the Government. The Schedule to the Proclamation by the High Commissioner dated p !gg. 25th March, 1926, and published in the Gazette No. 161 dated 16th April, 1926, shall be amended by the deletion of Yabed Forest Reserve No. 21 and all particulars relating thereto. ,

SCHEDULE.

Forest Reserve within the village boundaries of Ya'bad, Zibda and Bavta'a villages, Jenin Sub-District. The boundaries of the Forest Reserves are shown by a green line on a map marked F/166, scale 1/10,000, a copy of which is lodged at the office of the Conservator of Forests, . They are demarcated throughout by numbered Rock Marks con• sisting of iron bolts concreted into rocks and surrounded by a ring painted with cement wash. • Serial No. : 336• Name of Reserve : Rihan. Situation ; Within the village boundaries of Ya'bad, Zibda and Barta'a, Jenin Sub- District. Boundaries : North: The boundary proceeds westwards along the edge of cultivated lands on the southern slope of the Wad es Samantar and in El Frush locality through Rock Marks numbered consecutively from 488/B down to 479/B and thence through Rock Marks 474/B and 473/B; thence it proceeds along the village boundary between Ya'bad and 'Ar'ara which coincides with thé Sub-District boundary between and Jenin Sub-Districts passing Rock Marks 7/A, 8/A and 144/A as far as Rock Mark 563/B situated in Qatayin El Khub locality; thence it proceeds along the edge of cultivated lands in that locality through Rock Marks numbered consecutively from 563/B down to 558/B, thence through Rock Marks 573/B, 572/B and thence through Rock Marks numbered consecutively from 567/B down to 564/B; thence it proceeds again along the abovementioned Sub-District boundary and the edge of cultivated lands in Khirbet es Sahle et Tahta and Khor^aqir localities through Marks numbered consecutively from 70/A to 67/A; thence it proceeds along the

ORDER, No. 41 OF 1943, BY THE HIGH COMMISSIONER UNDER SECTION 13.

Cap. 61; IN EXERCISE cff the powers vested in him by section 13 of the Forests Ordinance, the High Commissioner is pleased to declare and it is here• by declared that such part of Rihan Forest Reserve No. 336 as is described in the Schedule to this Order (which Forest Reserve was proclaimed as such by the Proclamation of the High Commissioner, No. 4 of 1943, published simultaneously with the publication hereof) shall be a Closed Forest Area. 2. The Order No. 41 of 1941 made by the High Commissioner and p. 590. published in the Gazette No. 1090 of 17th April, 1941, is hereby revoked.

Position: The eastern part of Rihan Forest Reserve falling within the village bound• aries of Ya'bad, Jenin Sub-District. IN EXERCISE of the powers vested in me by Regulation 46 of the Defence Regulations, 1939, I, CHRISTOPHER WILSON BROWN, C.B.E., Gaz: 26.8.39, M.C., Controller of Heavy Industries, being a Competent Authority p. 659. for the purposes of the said regulation, do hereby order as follows:— 1. This Order may be cited as the Defence (Control of Manufacture Citation. of Safety Razor Blades) Order, 1943.

2. In this Order, unless the context otherwise requires: — Interpretation. "Controller" means the Controller of Heavy Industries and includes the Deputy Controller of Heavy Industries. "Inspector" means any inspector or officer appointed by the Control• ler for the purposes of any Order made by the Controller under Regulation 46 of the Defence Regulations, 1939, and includes any Gaz: 26.8.39, police constable. p. 659. "Licensed manufacturer" means any person holding a valid licence granted to him under the provisions of this Order. "Safety razor blade" means any steel blade manufactured in Palestine for use in a safety razor. "Sale" means any disposition or agreement for disposition for gain whether or not any service is performed or agreed to be performed in connection with such disposition, and "sell" and "seller" shall be construed accordingly. 11. In the case of an urgent call, double the above rates shall be char*ged. In the case of a single fixed time call, an additional charge of 25 per cent, (subject to a minimum additional charge of 20 mils) shall be made for the first three minutes. In the case of a daily fixed time call, an additional charge of 15 per cent, (subject to a minimum additional charge of 10 mils) shall be made for the first three minutes. ANIMAL DISEASES ORDINANCE.

RULES MADE BY THE HIGH COMMISSIONER UNDER SECTION 19.

Cap. 3. IN EXERCISE of the powers vested in him by section 19 of the Animal Diseases Ordinance, the High Commissioner has made the following rules: —

Citation. 1. These rules may be cited as the Prohibition of Importation of Swine (Syria and Lebanon) Rules, 1943.

Prohibition. 2. .Notwithstanding anything contained in Part III of the Schedule Laws of Pal., to the Animal Quarantine Rules, the importation of swine from Syria p. 1622. and the Lebanon shall be prohibited until the revocation of these rules. PUBLIC TRAFFIC (PORT OF HAIFA) DEFENCE (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, .1943.

IN EXERCISE qf the powers vested in him by Article 3 of the Emergency Powers (Colonial Defence) Qrder in Council, 1939, and the Palestine (Defence), Order in Council, 1937, and the Emergency Powers (Defence) Act, 1939, the High Commissioner ׳׳ —:lias made the following Defence Regulations

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Public Traffic (Port of Citation. Haifa) Defence (Amendment) Regulations, 1943, and shall be read as one with the Public Traffic (Port of Haifa) Defence Regulations, 1939, Gaz: 3.9.39, hereinafter referred to as "the principal Regulations". p. 747.

2.
