Sheriff’s deputies, aided by officers from the Ukiah Police Department arrest- ed Ronald Paul Powell, 46, of Ukiah while he was waiting in the drive-through lane of Jack in the Box. Powell was wanted on suspicion of the armed robbery of a marijuana garden on Burke Hill Road on Oct. 18. It is alleged that Powell and another suspect negotiated with a man on Burke Hill Road to purchase four live marijuana plants for $10,000. The suspects then allegedly struck the victim in the head and held him at gunpoint while they took back their money and loaded the victim’s mari- juana plants into their vehicle.
