You’d think the Pacific Ocean is what attracts visi- tors to Long Beach, but for Women in Aviation Inter- national this week, this city holds so much more. Not only does it boast California’s oldest municipal airport (95 years!), but also renown pilots, flight stunts, air travels, aerospace manufacturing, and military.

Long Beach “King of Aviation” Earl Daugherty Proud of its local history, the city of Long Beach has a strong historical society devoted to keeping its stories alive.
