To get a good knowledge of the transcriptome dynamics and gene regulatory mechanism during the process of seed development and nutrients accumulation, we performed a comprehensive global transcriptome analysis using rice tartary buckwheat seeds at different development stages, namely pre-filling stage, filling stage, and mature stage. 24 819 expressed genes, including 108 specifically expressed genes, and 11 676 differentially expressed genes (DEGs) were identified. qRT-PCR analysis was performed on 34 DEGs to validate the transcriptome data, and a good consistence was obtained. Based on their expression patterns, the identified DEGs were classified to eight clusters, and the enriched GO items in each cluster were analyzed. In addition, 633 DEGs related to plant hormones were identified. Furthermore, genes in the biosynthesis pathway of nutrients accumulation were analyzed, including 10, 20, and 23 DEGs corresponding to the biosynthesis of seed storage proteins, flavonoids, and starch, respectively. This is the first transcriptome analysis during seed development of tartary buckwheat. It would provide us a comprehensive understanding of the complex transcriptome dynamics during seed development and gene regulatory mechanism of nutrients accumulation. Seed is the primary storage organ in plants for storing nutrients such as starch, lipids, and proteins1.

5 May 2017 Elizabeth Harris Principal Advisor ASX Listing Compliance Level 40, Central Park 152-158 St Georges Terrace PERTH WA 6000 Dear Ms Harris ASX Query: Ding Sheng Xin Finance Co. Limited We refer to your letter dated 24 April 2017 in which you have sought a response from the Company in relation to questions raised by the ASX regarding judgements made involving the Company’s subsidiary (“PRC DSX”) in the People’s Republic of China. In response to ASX’s queries, the Company advises as follows: 1. It is a natural consequence of the nature of PRC DSX business, being guaranteeing the repayment of loans and other specific performances, that it will be involved in legal processes. Where lenders seek recovery of loans following any default of the performance of borrowers, and that borrower is a client of PRC DSX and their repayment obligations are guaranteed by PRC DSX, PRC DSX will be named in the relevant legal processes. Accordingly, PRC DSX has been and is likely to continue to be a party to legal processes and by extension to have judgements made against it in its capacity as guarantor. PRC DSX processes are such that if a client defaults and a judgement is made against that client, and by extension PRC DSX, PRC DSX then seeks to renegotiate the terms of the obligation on behalf of the client. If that process is successful the judgement is no longer relevant and is withdrawn, however if that process is not successful PRC DSX makes the payments on behalf of the client and proceeds to seek recovery from the client.

  • Catalytic Asymmetric Acetalization of Carboxylic Acids for Access to Chiral Phthalidyl Ester Prodrugs
ARTICLE https://doi.org/10.1038/s41467-019-09445-x OPEN Catalytic asymmetric acetalization of carboxylic acids for access to chiral phthalidyl ester prodrugs Yingguo Liu 1, Qiao Chen1, Chengli Mou2, Lutai Pan2, Xiaoyong Duan1, Xingkuan Chen1, Hongzhong Chen1, Yanli Zhao 1, Yunpeng Lu1, Zhichao Jin3 & Yonggui Robin Chi1,3 Carboxylic acids are common moieties in medicines. They can be converted to phthalidyl esters as prodrugs. Unfortunately, phthalidyl esters are now mostly prepared in racemic 1234567890():,; forms. This is not desirable because the two enantiomers of phthalidyl esters likely have different pharmacological effects. Here we address the synthetic challenges in enantiose- lective modification of carboxylic acids via asymmetric acetalizations. The key reaction step involves asymmetric addition of a carboxylic acid to the catalyst-bound intermediate. This addition step enantioselectively constructs a chiral acetal unit that lead to optically enriched phthalidyl esters. A broad range of carboxylic acids react effectively under mild and transition metal-free conditions. Preliminary bioactivity studies show that the two enantiomers of chlorambucil phthalidyl esters exhibit different anti-cancer activities to inhibit the growth of Hela cells. Our catalytic strategy of asymmetric acetalizations of carboxylic acids shall benefit future development of chiral phthalidyl ester prodrugs and related molecules. 1 Division of Chemistry & Biological Chemistry, School of Physical & Mathematical Sciences, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore 637371, Singapore. 2 School of Pharmacy, Guiyang University of Chinese Medicine, Huaxi District, Guiyang 550025, China. 3 Laboratory Breeding Base of Green Pesticide and Agricultural Bioengineering, Key Laboratory of Green Pesticide and Agricultural Bioengineering, Ministry of Education, Guizhou University, Huaxi District, Guiyang 550025, China.
