Por mi fútbol hablarán los Pumas http://www.revista.unam.mx/vol.6/num6/art60/int60.htm POR MI FÚTBOL HABALARÁN LOS PUMAS EL PUMA NACE Y SE HACE En la familia, en cuestiones deportivas, siempre se hablaba de béisbol, pues mi padre era un aficionado de hueso colorado y había formado su novena con compañeros de trabajo, con los que jugaba cada domingo. Los sábados eran para seguir las hazañas por televisión, de los guerreros del cuadrilátero, desde la Arena Coliseo, y los domingos para estar pendientes de las faenas realizadas en la Plaza México. Pero de fútbol, nada, no era tema digno de llevarse a la mesa ni pasatiempo predilecto para cascarear con los cuates. Y, sin embargo, ahí estaba, formaba parte de la cultura popular deportiva, como la lucha libre. Vivíamos en un edificio del centro de la Ciudad de México y debajo de nuestro departamento, al pie de la calle, estaba una peluquería tradicional atendida por un novillero frustrado, El Compadre, que quedó a muchas tardes de tomar la alternativa y mejor se dedicó a cortar el pelo en lugar de orejas.
