Almost 115,000 people call the City of District 1 West Jordan home, making it the fourth-largest city in the State of Utah. Much has changed since pioneers settled this area in 1849. Burton West Jordan was incorporated in 1941 with a population of Council Member about 1,800, and as late as 1970, it was still largely a rural area. District 2 Then building boomed and from 1973 to 1979 the city’s popu- lation increased 500% to 27,329. Today, with about 25% of the city’s west-side land still available for development, growth is Zach expected to continue. The City of West Jordan would like to thank the Western Stampede Rodeo Committee for donating their time and talents to planning and putting on the rodeo. An event this size takes a lot of coordination and the planning for next year begins as soon as the dust settles from the current rodeo.

Volunteers have always been at the heart of this community tradition since the first rodeo in 1954. If you’d like to get involved, we have a variety of ways you can participate. Email [email protected] for details.

If you have any feedback you’d like to share, please email [email protected]. And, if you see any of these volunteers be sure to thank them!
