Additionally, the research reviews previous biographical portrayals of the Queen and refutes the claim that she was merely a receptacle for the ideas of the men around her while still acknowledging and explaining her dependence on these advisors. Received: 3 January 2020; Accepted: 12 February 2020; Published: 17 February 2020 Abstract: The study was devoted to morphological and cytoembryological analysis of disorders in the anther and pollen development of transgenic tomato plants with a normal and abnormal phenotype, which is characterized by the impaired development of generative organs. Various abnormalities in the structural organization of anthers and microspores were revealed. Such abnormalities in microspores lead to the blocking of asymmetric cell division and, accordingly, the male gametophyte formation. Some of the non-degenerated microspores accumulate a large number of storage inclusions, forming sterile mononuclear pseudo-pollen, which is similar in size and appearance to fertile pollen grain (looks like pollen grain). It was discussed that the growth of tapetal cells in abnormal anthers by increasing the size and ploidy level of nuclei contributes to this process. It has been shown that in transgenic plants with a normal phenotype, individual disturbances are also observed in the development of both male and female gametophytes. -

Visualising Victoria: Gender, Genre and History in The Young Victoria (2009) Julia Kinzler (Friedrich-Alexander-University Erlangen-Nuremberg, Germany) Abstract This article explores the ambivalent re-imagination of Queen Victoria in Jean-Marc Vallée’s The Young Victoria (2009). Due to the almost obsessive current interest in Victorian sexuality and gender roles that still seem to frame contemporary debates, this article interrogates the ambiguous depiction of gender relations in this most recent portrayal of Victoria, especially as constructed through the visual imagery of actual artworks incorporated into the film. In its self-conscious (mis)representation of Victorian (royal) history, this essay argues, The Young Victoria addresses the problems and implications of discussing the film as a royal biopic within the generic conventions of heritage cinema. Yet, from this “rich afterlife of Victorianism” cinematic representations of the eponymous monarch are strangely absent (Johnston and Waters 2008: 8). The recovery of Queen Victoria on film in John Madden’s visualisation of the delicate John-Brown-episode in the Queen’s later life in Mrs Brown (1997) coincided with the academic revival of interest in the monarch reflected by Margaret Homans and Adrienne Munich in Remaking Queen Victoria (1997). Academia and the film industry brought the Queen back to “the centre of Victorian cultures around the globe”, where Homans and Munich believe “she always was” (Homans and Munich 1997: 1). -

F., México. *Correspondencia: [email protected] Resumen. Se analizaron los patrones de riqueza y distribución de las plantas vasculares acuáticas estrictas en el estado de Tamaulipas, México. Se registraron 93 especies, 62 de las cuales son típicas de ambientes lénticos. La subcuenca Río Tamesí fue la que registró el mayor número de especies (68, 73.1%). No se registraron especies endémicas del estado, aunque existen 2 especies restringidas al territorio mexicano (Lobelia purpusii y Oserya coulteriana). Se consideran como raras 29 especies (31.2%) por presentarse en una sola subcuenca y sólo 2 especies están distribuidas ampliamente en la mayoría de éstas (Bacopa monnieri y Echinodorus berteroi). Un análisis de parsimonia de endemismos (PAE) de las subcuencas hidrológicas del estado con base en la presencia compartida de especies reveló que las plantas acuáticas estrictas presentan un patrón de distribución anidado. -

Regions like Ñeembucú are often considered of lower diversity and interest that more forested regions; this results from both actual species richness fi gures and from under-collecting due to perception as uninteresting. We present here a checklist of the vascular plants of Ñeembucú, which includes 676 taxa (including infraspecifi c taxa and collections identifi ed only to genus) in 100 families and 374 genera. Four hundred and thirty nine (439) of these are new records for Ñeembucú and of these, 4 are new published records for Paraguay. -

Friedman Premise of research. Water lilies (Nymphaeales) make up one of the oldest independent lineages of an- giosperms. The giant water lily, Victoria, exhibits pollination and floral traits that are derived within Nym- phaeales. Specialization in pollination and floral biology is often reflected in pollen traits, and in Victoria,this is evidenced by the production of permanent tetrads. Compound pollen has evolved many times across the angiosperm phylogeny, but compound pollen development has been investigated in only a few taxa, and the degree of developmental variation in microspore cohesion is unknown. This article comprehensively charac- terizes the pollen ontogenetic sequence in Victoria for the first time. Methodology. Floral buds of Victoria amazonica, Victoria cruziana, and Longwood hybrid were field collected. Anthers at the sporogenous, microspore mother cell, tetrad, “free” microspore, and mature pollen grain stages were studied using combined LM/SEM/TEM. Pivotal results. Microspore cohesion in Victoria differs from that exhibited by the few compound pollen- producing taxa that have been studied. In Victoria, the calymmate tetrads fuse via crosswall cohesion, but cytoplasmic connections are transient and do not serve as a template for wall bridge formation. -

Br.)Macfarlane, W. deserticola Macfarlane and W. sinora Macfarlane are recorded for the first time; Wurmbea biglandulosa ssp. flindersica, W. centralis ssp. australis, W. decumbens, W. dioica ssp. citrina, W. dioica ssp. lacunaria, W. latifolia ssp. vanessae and W. stellata are described. A key, together with notes on each species is provided. Macfarlane (1980) revised the genus for Australia. He placed Anguillaria R. Br. under Wurmbea and recognised W. dioica (R. Br.)F. Muell., W. centralis Macfarlane, W. latifolia Macfarlane and W. uniflora (R. Br.)Macfarlane as occurring in South Australia. Before this only one species, W. dioica (as Anguillaria dioica) was listed for South Australia (J.M. Black 1922, 1943). Macfarlane stated that he had seen no live material of South Australian species. The present author has made extensive field studies of taxa discussed in this paper, has cultivated most and studied herbarium material. Several trips have been made to other states to allow further comparisons to be made.
