The University has been awarded “A” Grade (highest grade) by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), an Autonomous Institution of University Grants Commission, Ministry of HRD, Government of India. GEU is rated 3rd in the country and 1st in North India out of 38 Universities assessed across India during this time. Also Europe Business Assembly, nominated Graphic Era University as Best Regional University at Oxford City in December, 2015, where as in the 30th International Quality Summit Convention at New York, GEU was honored with the Gold Award for Excellence in May, 2016 and in The Icons of Learning Conclave, Singapore GEU received the Leading Private University Award in November, 2016. GEU recently received the Quality Choice Prize by ESQR Berlin, Germany in December, 2016. GEU currently offers more than 40 undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes across disciplines such as engineering and technology, management, allied sciences, humanities & social sciences, and hospitality management to more than 8000 students. In addition to quality academics, research plays a vital role in disseminating knowledge. GEU has around 1500 research publications in reputed international journals having high impact factors and at international conferences along with research funding of Rs. 50.3 Million from agencies such as DST, DRDO, ISRO, BARC, UCOST, USBD etc. The University has established Technology Business Incubation Centre (TBI) with financial support of Rs. 30 million sanctioned through DST and Rs 30 million contributed by the University. GEU has filed 13 International patents in the various fields of study. Before arriving at GEU, Students need to email their copy of visa, passport and other official documents to [email protected] International Students arriving at Graphic Era are subject to follow University’s rules of conduct, penalties, educational and teaching system. 8 LOCATION Amidst Nature’s Plenty The city of Dehradun mainly lies in Doon Valley and is at a varying height from 410m in Clement Town to above 600 m at Jakhan which is 4 km from the city. However, the general elevation is 450 m above sea level. Jakhan is the starting point of Lesser Himalayan Range that extends to Mussoorie and beyond. Jaunsar Bawar hills in Dehradun District rises to 3700m above sea level. The hilly region of Mussoorie goes up to a height of 1870–2007 metres above sea level. 9.
