Full Report of Province 1
Corona Virus: Status Update of Province 1 14 April 2020 In Province 1, 251 swab tests have been taken till 14 April. Out of them 239 reports were negative. The remaining 12 reports are pending. Till 14 April, total 538 people have stayed in quarantine. Out of them, 53 have been discharged. In the home quarantine there are 3,680 people. Till 14 April 402 people have been examined with RDT and all of them were found negative and till date Province 1 has received 2,664 Personal Protection Equipment (PPE). Progressive Engineering Association Nepal (PEAN) has constructed booths for Corona test and handed it over to the provincial government. Koshi Hospital has constructed a booth and handed it to Social Development Minister Jivan Ghimire. Ncell has provided free sim cards to Ghimire for the health workers delegated for providing health service. Also the stranded 64 in the hotels of Kakadvitta were sent to their houses. There were rescued in two buses which left for Kathmandu and Dhangadi. According to District Representative of Morang, Netra Prasad Adhikari, a total 176 people were staying in quarantine out of which 100 have been discharged. There are 15 people admitted to the isolation ward. There are 127 isolation beds and 28 ICU beds. Till 14 April 1,413 are living in home quarantine. For the swab test, 66 samples have been sent out of which 63 were negative and three reports are pending. All 248 RDT were found negative. CHAPTER - I INTRODUCTION 1.1 Background of the Study Situated in the lop of Himalaya, Nepal is located between the latitude 26022' N to 30027' North and longitude 8004 East to 88012' East and elevation ranges from 90 to 8848 meters. The average length being 885 km. east to west and average breadth is about 193 km. north to south. The country is bordering between the two most popular countries of the world, India in the east, south, west and China in the north. Nepal is land locked country and home place of natural beauty with traces of artifacts. The northern range (Himalaya) is covered with snow over the year where the highest peak of the world, the Mount Everest stands. The middle range (hills) is captured by gorgeous mountains, high peaks, hills, valleys and lakes. The southern range (Terai) is the gangaitic plain of alluvial soil and consist of dense forest area. National park, wildlife reserves and conservation area. The temperature and rainfall differ from place to place. In the geographic diversity and varied climatic conditions. National census 2011 enumerated more than 103 caste/ethnic groups. Population projected for the year 2011 is 26.8 million. Nepal presents an example of being united in diversity are the history and has maintained its pride to be an independent and sovereign state. Geographically the country is divided in three regions, mountain, hill and tarai accommodating 7.3, 44.3 and 48.4 percent of the population respectively in 2011. Based on areas of districts there regions comprise 35, 42 and 23 percent respectively of the total land area of the kingdom.
