As The High Sheriff of I am delighted to be presiding over the 11th Anniversary celebrations of the High Sheriff’s Awards for Enterprise, Cheshire’s prime business awards event. These Awards were introduced in 2006 by the then High Sheriff of Cheshire, David Briggs MBE KStJ, to recognise outstanding achievements by enterprises in Cheshire, Halton and . During my year of office, my focus is on volunteering and shining the spotlight on those organisations and charities that do so much good for our wonderful County and who are the unsung heroes that are the glue in our communities. With this in mind, I am very much looking forward to working with a range of businesses across the region who help their communities through voluntary and charitable work. I know through the High Sheriff’s charity, Crimebeat, how rewarding working with others can be and how their fantastic work supports young people throughout the County, enabling them to be involved in projects within their communities, stay safe and ultimately providing them with the opportunity High Sheriff of Cheshire, 2016/17 to improve our communities throughout Cheshire.
