There are larger car parks at Castle Hill pay and display, a 5 minute walk from us, and Park Street multi- storey, an 8 minute walk. We recommend the Park and Ride services. Madingley Park and Ride stops on Magdalene Street, a short walk from Kettle’s Yard. (see http://cambridgeparkandride.info/madingleyroad.shtml), where parking is free for up to 18 hours and charges for longer periods are more reasonable than in central Cambridge (see http://cambridgeparkandride.info/pricing.shtml#park). The nearest central Cambridge parking to Magdalene College is the Park Street car park (see https://www.cambridge.gov.uk/park-street-car-park). and Castle Hill https://www.cambridgeshire.gov.uk/shire-hall/ By Road from London; the South or the West M11, exit J13. Turn right onto the A1303 into Cambridge (Madingley Road). At the end of this road, you will come to a mini roundabout. Turn left (lane marked straight on) onto Northampton St. Continue straight across the cross roads and Cripps Court is approximately 300 meters on the left hand side of the road. By Road from the North West (From Huntingdon/Midlands) From the A14 take the first exit signposted to Cambridge (A1037) continue along Huntingdon Road until you reach the junction with Histon Road, Victoria Road and Castle Street. Continue straight on down the hill and turn left at the traffic lights at the crossed roads, continue straight on for approximately 300 meters, Cripps Court on the left hand side of the road. By Road from the East (From Suffolk/Norfolk A14) From the A14 take exit 32 signposted to Cambridge/Histon, take the first left onto the B1049 signposted to Cambridge. At a set of traffic lights go straight on, you will reach a second set of traffic lights continue straight until you reach a junction, there are two lanes to go right, you need to be in the left of these, at the next set of traffic lights turn left onto Castle Street. Continue straight on down the hill and turn left at the traffic lights at the crossed roads, continue straight on for approximately 300 meters, Cripps Court on the left hand side of the road. By Road from the North (From Ely/King Lynn A10) From the A10, follow the signs to Cambridge, when you reach Milton take the third exit signposted to Cambridge (A1309) continue straight through several sets of traffic lights when you reach a roundabout go straight over, you will reach another set of traffic lights, continue straight until you reach the one way system, you should be in the righthand lane, take the third exit onto Chesterton Road (the river Cam should be to your left) follow this road until you reach you a traffic island in the middle of the road, Cripps Court is on the right hand side By Rail: Regular train services run to Cambridge from London Kings Cross Station, London Liverpool Street Station and the London airports to Cambridge Station. Magdalene is approximately 1.5 miles (2.4 km) from the station. Walking would take around 30 minutes, buses run regularly and taxis are available. By Bus or Coach: The Drummer Street bus station is within walking distance of the College (0.8 miles). National Express operates coach services to Cambridge from most major towns and cities across the UK. Frequent coach services run from Central London and Stansted Airport and the Stagecoach X5 Cross County Service links Oxford to Cambridge via Milton Keynes & Bedford. For further information about coach services to Cambridge please see the National Express or Stagecoach websites. By Air: The nearest airport is Stansted approximately 31 miles (50km). Luton airport is approximately 40 miles away (63km), Heathrow is approximately 70 miles (112km) away, and Gatwick 94 miles (151km). Regular rail services run between Cambridge and Stansted airport, for more information on the National rail website National Express operates frequent bus services between Cambridge and all four airports.
