After completing item A (either with an Advancement Chair in a group setting or individually), you will need items B, C and D turned in to complete your MBC application.

A. Merit Badge Counselor Online Training Merit Badge Counselor Online Training

Logon, click on BSA Learning Center, Program Specific, Boy Scouting. There you will see the Merit Badge Counselor Training module. Please print out your certificate once you are finished with the course and send that along with the rest of your paperwork.

B. Merit Badge Counselor Registration Form www.ThreeHarborsScouting.org/Meritbadges

C. Youth Protection Training (YPT) Either email or print a screenshot of completed YPT certificate. Email to [email protected] or [email protected]

D. When filling out the BSA Adult Application, remember to:

1. Sign/date the back side for background check 2. Provide DOB, driver’s license, SSN 3. Position code = 42 / Merit Badge Counselor 4. Sign/date the main page (no additional signatures are needed) 5. Fill out reference section of far right 6. No fee/costs involved
