The photos of female adult and genitalia are provided. Key words: many-plumed moth, fauna, new data, Russian Far East. Introduction Pterotopteryx spilodesma is a widely spread many-plumed moth species, described from north-eastern India, state Assam (Meyrick, 1908), also known from China (Taiwan), Japan, Korea, Philippines (Byun, 2006). For Russia, it was previously given erroneously, from the Sakhalin Island (Dubatolov, Ustjuzhanin, 1991; Ustjuzhanin, 1999). In the annotated catalogue of Insects of the Russian Far East, in addition to Primorsky Krai, P. spilodesma was also reported from Sakhalin, but in doubt (Ustjuzhanin, Kovtunovich, 2016). One female of P. spilodesma has been collected in the vicinity of Kholmsk City (Sakhalin Island) in 2017 by first author. The study of the genital preparation confirmed its species affiliation. The Wild МБР-1 microscope and Canon DS126291 camera were used to prepare images. Results Pterotopteryx spilodesma (Meyrick, 1908) Figs 1, 2 Orneodes spilodesma Meyrick, 1908: 508. Russia: Sakhalin Island, vicinity of Kholmsk, 47.028 N, 142.037 E, at light trap, 25.IX 2017, 1 ♀, leg. О.L. Titova Distribution. India (Assam), Philippines, China (Taiwan), Japan (Hokkaido, Honshu, Shikoku, Kyushu, Tanegashima, Yakushima); Russia (Southern Primorye, Southern Sakhalin, Shikotan Island). Remarks. The caterpillars live on the Lonicera L. (Caprifoliaceae), there are at least five species of them on Sakhalin (Voroshilov, 1982); in Japan they feed on L. japonica Thunb. (Inoue, 1982). On Sakhalin there are two Alucitidae species, one of them is more common: Pterotopteryx eumorphodactyla (Caradja, 1920) and the other is more rare, currently known only by one specimen from south-western coast of the island, Pterotopteryx spilodesma (Meyrick, 1908).
