TV LAND NAMES DANA TUINIER AS VICE PRESIDENT OF
DEVELOPMENT AND ORIGINAL PROGRAMMING
June 24, 2014 – TV Land has hired Dana Tuinier as Vice President of Development and Original Programming, it was announced today by Keith Cox, Executive Vice President, Development and Original Programming, TV Land. Reporting directly to Cox, Tuinier will assist in managing TV Land’s existing original series as well as the development of new projects. She will be based in Los Angeles.
"We are thrilled to have Dana on board as our department expands to accommodate the growth in our original series," said Cox. “Her experience working on a wide variety of shows in different formats is invaluable as TV Land explores new types of original programming.”
Tuinier is joining fellow Vice Presidents Brad Gardner and Rose Catherine Pinkney on Cox’s original programming team, working with the group to supervise TV Land’s current series including “Hot in Cleveland” and “Jennifer Falls.” Additionally, Cox’s department will oversee the strategic development of the network’s upcoming original series “Younger” as well as pilots such as the recently announced “Teachers” and “Impastor.” They are also responsible for bringing in new projects for TV Land.
Prior to this new role, Dana was Director of Current Programming at Fox Broadcasting Company. She worked on many projects, including “New Girl,” “Bob’s Burgers,” “COSMOS: A Spacetime Odyssey,” “Almost Human,” “Raising Hope,” “Enlisted” and “Glee.” At Fox, she also served as Manager of Comedy Development and Coordinator of Current Programming, where she gained vast experience in scripted pilots and series development for single and multi-camera comedies, sketch comedy, animation, drama and more.
Tuinier graduated from Columbia College Chicago with a B.A. in Film and concentration in producing and development and was awarded “Student of the Year” by Columbia College Chicago’s Semester in LA program. Additionally, she graduated from the Fox Network Group High Potential Executive Training Program, a nine month intensive leadership course for those chosen by senior management.
