The article reconstructs the activities of the Cassa, by taking ad- vantage of its yearly reports. The agency was effective in the first two decades, thanks to substantial technical autonomy and, in the 1960s, to a strong focus on industrial develop- ment; however, since the 1970s it progressively became an instrument of waste and misalloc- ation. Below this broad picture, we find important differences at the regional level, and signi- ficant correspondence between the quality of state intervention and the regional patterns of GDP and productivity. Restructuring of the 150 Kv Electricity Grid Between Catanzaro and Calusia: Safety, Efficiency and Environmental Benefits
RESTRUCTURING OF THE 150 KV ELECTRICITY GRID BETWEEN CATANZARO AND CALUSIA: SAFETY, EFFICIENCY AND ENVIRONMENTAL BENEFITS • Terna presents the project to the citizens of the area chosen for the new project • The project will bring significant environmental benefits, such as the demolition of 90 km of power lines Rome, 4 March 2019 - Terna will hold three meetings open to the citizens of the provinces of Catanzaro and Crotone to provide information on the area selected for the construction of the new 150 kV electricity line which will involve the Municipalities of Catanzaro, Soveria Simeri, Simeri Crichi, Zagarise, Sellia Marina, Belcastro, Andali, Cerva, Petronà, Sersale Cropani, Mesoraca, Cotronei, Petilia Policastro and Caccuri. The work aims to guarantee the increased stability and reliability of the local electricity system, to improve the quality of the service and the efficiency of the grid and to encourage increased production from renewables. The 150 kV power line, to be installed between the Catanzaro and Calusia Electrical Substations, with connections to the Belcastro substation and the primary transformer room at Mesoraca, will enable the demolition of around 90 km of overhead power lines. The first of the three meetings organised by Terna will take place on Tuesday 5 March in Belcastro, from 16:00 to 20:00 in the Council Chamber of the Municipality. The second meeting will be held on Wednesday 6 March in Mesoraca, again from 16:00 to 20:00 in the Council Chamber of the Municipality. The third meeting will be held at the same time in the Soveria Simeri Council Chamber. Terna technicians will be on hand to provide information on the motivations for the project, the characteristics, benefits and authorisation process, as well as to answer any questions that participants may have. -

27 giugno 2018 Carpanzano. La secolare storia di un Casale avvolto dai verdeggianti rilievi della Valle del Savuto Franco Emilio Carlino alle numerose fonti storiche consultate emerge piuttosto chiaramente che Carpanzano è il comune più D arcaico della periferia cosentina, sorto intorno all’IX secolo. La sua genesi, del resto come quella della maggior parte dei Casali convicini sarebbe appunto dovuta ad opera di profughi cosentini obbligati ad allontanarsi dalla loro città distrutta dalle incursioni saracene. Sulla sua origine, tuttavia, non si esclude che questa potrebbe, all’inizio, essere stato un presidio militare strategico posto sulla confluenza del vecchio asse viario di comunicazione che univa la Sila al mare e l’altro quello che allacciava il fiume Savuto a Rogliano. La spiegazione su quanto appena sostenuto ci viene fornita da un brano estrapolato dal primo volume di Davide Andreotti sulla Storia dei Cosentini nel quale il nome di Carpanzano, insieme a tanti altri borghi come Castiglione, Lappano, Zumpano, Rovito, Celico, Spezzano Grande, Spezzano Piccolo, Pedace, Pietrafitta, Aprigliano, Donnici, Figline, Mangone, Rogliano, Altilia, Grimaldi, Malito, Paterno, Dipignano, Tessano, Belsito, Marzi e Trenta ed altri ancora risulta inserito nel corposo elenco dei paesi facenti parte della Confederazione Bruzia all’epoca della prima irruzione gotica e fino al tempo dell’occupazione musulmana. Una Confederazione che compresa Cosenza segnava complessivamente centoventimila abitanti, ma che nel momento in cui, come si attinge dalla narrazione
