However, the last time they did this it turned out that it was because the counters had gone haywire and the viewing figures were much the same as they always had been, so we shall wait and see. I am not going to do anything about finding out as I think that I would prefer to let sleeping search engines lie if you know what I mean. I was actually dictating the above paragraph, and going great guns with the dictation engine on my iPad, when the ASDA delivery arrived and the two badly behaved specimens of Canis lupus familiaris who grace my abode went completely apeshit, and any attempt at dictation was lost in a maelstrom Dear Friends, of barking. Welcome to another issue of this singular Recently Santana have released an album little publication. As you may or may not called Santana IV which would seem a little have noticed, the magazine is now published odd, because it is the twenty third studio in HTML-5, something of which I have only album by the band. The album is so called the slightest understanding, and which I'm because it reunites the early 1970s classic not even going to attempt to describe to you. -

Soundcheck Books. Paperback. Book Condition: new. BRAND NEW, A Passion Play: The Story of Ian Anderson and Jethro Tull, Brian Rabey, This is a book in two parts. Part one is a history of the band, largely told by band members themselves - Maartin Allcock , Mick Abrahams, Martin Barre, Clive Bunker, Glenn Cornick, John Evans, Andy Giddings. Jerey Hammond, Dave Pegg, Doane Perry, and, of course, Ian Anderson. Author Brian Rabey really did have 'access all areas' for this work. He made good use of it as well, oen relating the same story (for example, how Martin Barre came to join Tull) but from dierent people's viewpoints. Part two, is devoted to the thoughts of Ian Anderson, again largely told in the man's words in interviews that stretch back to Anderson's first meeting with Rabey in the 1970s, right up to the present. -
And a Letter to My Customers ===
--- == ROOTS & RHYTHM - SALE 01/12/2014 - AND A LETTER TO MY CUSTOMERS === --- Dear Friends Happy New Year! We hope you all had a wonderful holiday season. NOTE: Regrettably our holiday season was the slowest we've ever seen and it may mean that we will not be able to continue operating our business for very much longer. I am no longer a young man (not by a long shot!) and don't have the energy to pursue ways in which we may be able to promote the business. I would love to be able to settle down and listen to all the music I have gathered over the years in a relaxed setting and with critical reviewing faculties turned off. I would love to see Roots & Rhythm continue and thrive and even if we make it through the current crisis I would still like to get away from the stress of running a business so I am open to having someone else take over and move the company forward. If you are such a person or know such a person please contact me and we can discuss it. This list consists of a sale which we hope will raise enough money to help us get caught up with our suppliers and our taxes as well as some other pressing expenses. This list features 600 titles in all covering all the genres of music we specialize in and featuring books, DVDs and compact discs. This list includes manufacturer?s overstocks and deletions, our own excess inventory and a lot of titles that have been sitting on our shelves that have never been listed before. -
Middleton Is Firmly Rooted Between Rochdale, Oldham and Manchester
Middleton is firmly rooted between Rochdale, Oldham and Manchester. Middletown. Originally a typical Lancashire cotton town, the horizon dotted with tall mill chimneys. The 1950s & 60s brought a huge influx of people from the Manchester slum clearances on to the newly built Langley estate and this had a big bearing on the number of young people now living in Middleton. These young people in the 50s/60s had money to spend on fashion and music and it was against this background that the beat boom, already happening in Liverpool and Manchester, began taking shape in Middleton. Groups of young lads and some lasses headed down to Manchester’s music shops for guitars & drums and the occasional saxophone to form beat combos. Youth clubs and coffee bars became the places where these groups had their first taste of fame before moving on to the clubs of Manchester surrounding towns and the many dance halls of that period. For such a small town it was amazing that four local groups became so successful that they could become full time musicians and were given recording contracts by major London record companies:- The Country Gentlemen, signed to DECCA; TD Backus & The Powerhouse also on DECCA; The Measles on COLUMBIA and Ivans Meads on PARLOPHONE. Middleton’s musical heritage continued through the 70s and then in the 80s post punk band The Chameleons hit the headlines. The 80s brought The Mock Turtles, at the forefront of the Madchester Indie movement. Other notables in the music and entertainment sphere to emanate out of Middleton are Steve Coogan, John Richmond, Clint Boon of Inspiral Carpets, Maartin Allcock of Fairport Convention and Jethro Tull, Brendan and Martin Coogan. -

And with it our beliefs and values. This year’s HowtheLightGetsIn theme is ‘New Gods: Icons and Ideas in a Changed World’. Are the great narratives that have built and sustained the West under threat? And, if so, what are the new gods that will replace them? This year we have a whole new field to add to our festival space, with new venues and a wider and larger range of events. Although the festival site and the programme continue to grow apace, we are determined to keep the informal atmosphere and the intimate feel that has made HowTheLightGetsIn such a special event. Our line up of philosophers, writers, politicians, scientists, musicians and performers includes many names you will recognise, but HowTheLightGetsIn is not about celebrity: it’s about ideas and playfulness. Our events are the backdrop to creating a space where real conversation and genuine human interaction can take place. And it’s not all going to be cerebral. There will be music and bands and parties into the night, along with documentary screenings, comedy nights, and free acoustic events all day every day. -
„Z Pódia Mě Budou Muset Odnést V Botách“... Ian Anderson Nikdy Nejsi Moc Starej
JETHRO TULL OD KOŘENŮ K VĚTVÍM OD JETHRO TOE AŽ NA KONEC CESTY Ian Anderson, Martin Barre a další vyprávějí skutečný příběh jedné z nejdéle hrajících kapel progresivního rocku... „Z pódia mě budou muset odnést v botách“... Ian Anderson Nikdy nejsi moc starej ... „Sedím tam a vytvářím itineráře, plánuji. -
AND Report 131
AND Report 131 Z Anglie Vás zdraví Dave Rees a Martin Webb se svým fanzinem A New Day. Nejvýznamnější je The Ballad Of Jethro Tull, kterou vydavatel Rocket 88 popisuje jako první oficiální autorizovaný životopis kapely. Dave Rees připomíná i svůj někdejší počin, který vyšel pod názvem Minstrels In The Gallery. Poznámka VŘ mimo řádky AND: Aby toho nebylo málo, i já s Karlem jsme chytili ten virus 50-letého výročí a musíme s pravdou ven. Dokončujeme v nakladatelství Volvox Globator vlastní knihu o Jethro Tull s názvem Jethro Tull - Půlstoletí s kouzelnou flétnou. Text bude můj, fotky Karlovy. V knize čerpám zejména z dojmů a informací načerpaných v bookletech nově vydaných výročních remixovaných verzích alb. -
Compleat History of the Ram Club

This updated archive celebrates our 30 years of our existence as an epicentre of Folk and Acoustic music. None of us remember much of the very early days, but gradually more bits and pieces have come to light. When we originally put together this archive for our 20th birthday we were a bit stuck! Like the Dead Sea Scrolls, the ancient papyrus of the early gospels and pronouncements of who did what when got lost somewhere along the way. Typewriters of the day did not have memories, less so the scribes. And then - that flash of inspiration! We remembered that we have always advertised in Folk London. Sheila Finn, the editor at the time, very kindly went through all the back issues to tell us who our guests had been, and we are eternally grateful for her efforts. Updating the last ten years has been easy, thanks to computers and our webmaster and IT expert Neil Poole. Now it’s all safely stored for future folkeologists to marvel at, and beamed to all corners of the earth and beyond. We have moved with the times too, and we now spread our missives via FaceBook, Twitter and our YouTube channel.
