To the Democrats of Rossmoor

The Board and members of the Democrats of Rossmoor are appalled by the coup attempt that occurred at our nation’s Capitol on January 6th. President Trump encouraged and incited the insurrection, and he was supported by a majority of the Republican caucus in the House of Representatives and seven U.S. Senators. The coup is a result of false allegations made by the president, several cable programs, Republican supporters, and others who have benefitted from the Trump Administration.

Our democracy has been put at grave risk. The Capitol of our democracy was attacked and invaded for the first time since the War of 1812. The Confederate flag was displayed.

The sedition has not ended, and there are threats of more violence on or before the inauguration of President-elect Biden and Vice-President-elect Harris.

We are requesting that our club flood the email accounts of the Senators and Representatives who opposed the certification of the Biden election. In particular, we want to contact the House Minority Leader, Kevin McCarthy who, unfortunately, is a Californian. Listed below are the Congressmen and Senators whose opposition to the certification of the election exacerbated the attack on our government.

We encourage you to go to their websites since their office phones are not answering. An example of a website search is: search U.S. Congressman Kevin McCarthy. When the website opens, go to the CONTACT icon on the website where you will have an opportunity to email a message. In case you want to call the legislator to speak to an office aide or leave a voice mail, you can find phone numbers on the website, usually at the bottom of the screen.

We will work relentlessly in 2021 to defeat the California Congressmen whose names will live in infamy and we will cooperate with campaign groups to defeat the Senators listed. Please join us. Thank you, and God Bless America as we fight to save our democracy.
