FOURTH SUNDAY IN LENT

Brothers and sisters: Whoever is in Christ is a new creation: the old things have passed away; behold, new things have come. And all this is from God, who has reconciled us to himself through Christ and given us the ministry of reconciliation, namely, God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting their trespasses against them and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation. 2 COR: 5-17

STATIONS OF THE CROSS DURING LENT

Each Friday at 6:00 pm for 20-30 minutes in church. March 8th through April 12th.

Please join us in preparation for the great celebration of Easter Sunday. The Knights of Columbus Saint Ambrose Council is once again holding the "40 cans for Lent" food drive through- out the Lenten season. The receptacle will be in the back of church clearly marked "canned goods" with a Knights of Columbus emblem on it.

Please place all canned good donations in the container.

After Easter Sunday, the items will be donated to local food pantries with the assistance of the St. Ambrose Society.

The concept of one can per day donation equaling 40 cans donated is inspired by Christ's 40 days of fasting in the desert.

.. whatever you did for one of these least brothers of mine, you did for me. – Matthew 25:40

Jesus defines family as “those brothers who do the will of God”. We as Adorers, hope to take on that same broad view of family; particularly for our St. Ambrose community. Many parishioners have such busy lives or even physical boundaries, it’s often difficult to find time to com- mit to weekly adoration. Let us do that for you!

We would like to offer our Parish community, three ways to become your partner in prayer through faith, hope and love:

Prayer Request Form: Outside the Chapel you will notice a Eucharistic Adoration Intention Box. You or any parishioner are welcome to fill out a form requesting prayers for a special intention. The form should be folded and placed in the box. One of our adorers will lift your request in prayer.

Spiritual Offering Card: If you or a parishioner would like to send a “spiritual remembrance” to someone in need of prayers, feel free to take a card & envelope and mail it to your loved one. If you place a Prayer Request Form in the Intention Box, we will pray for them too. Spiritual Offering Postcard: If you or a visitor stop by the Chapel to pray for a loved one, feel free to take a postcard and let them know you offered prayers for their special intention. As you leave mass, help yourself to one of the prayer items described above (they are located on the ledge outside the Chapel) or if YOU are in need of quiet time, please stop by during our current adoration hours; visitors are always welcome…never underestimate the power of prayer!

Hours of Adoration: Friday’s from 8:00am-noon, Monday & Wednesday evenings from 4:00-8:00pm.
