................................................................................. 112 Contract ECMWF/2012/207 Page 3 (of 115) THIS CONTRACT is made on 2012 BETWEEN 1. The European Centre for Medium Range Weather Forecasts, of Shinfield Park, Reading, Berkshire, RG2 9AX, United Kingdom and governed by its Convention and associated Protocol on Privileges and Immunities which came into force on 1 November 1975 and which was amended on 6 June 2010 (“ECMWF”); and 2. Interoute Communications Limited, of Walbrook Building, 195 Marsh Wall, London, E14 9SG, United Kingdom, a company registered under the laws of England and Wales, with registered business number 04927540 (the “Contractor”) who shall collectively be known as the Parties or individually as a Party. BACKGROUND (A) ECMWF and its Member and Co-operating States wish to establish a regional meteorological data communication network which will be available to all of them. The World Meteorological Organisation (WMO) Regional Association VI (Europe) (“RA VI”) has requested such a network to be made available to those of its members which are not already Member and Co-operating States of ECMWF, and additionally to other eligible WMO members. (B) Pursuant to the WMO/ECMWF Agreement, (as hereinafter defined) WMO has requested ECMWF to undertake the procurement, implementation and monitoring of such a network for all members of RA VI and to conclude a contract with a provider for the Service. (C) The Contractor is willing to provide such a network to ECMWF for ECMWF itself and ECMWF Countries (as hereinafter defined)
