Sonnet Steps Up Speed, Pushes Down Processor Upgrade Prices

These cards, based on the latest and fastest PowerPC™ G4 processor (used in Apple’s current PowerBook® line) from Freescale Semiconductor, feature 512K of SRAM on-chip L2 cache and are compatible with Mac OS® 9.2, and Mac OS X Version 10.3.5 and higher. All Encore/ST G4 upgrades for Power Mac G4 tower computers include a factory-attached heat sink that fits seamlessly into all supported systems. The Encore/ST G4 1.8 GHz upgrade for Power Mac G4 Cube includes a quiet fan plus all required hardware, tools and detailed installation instructions (professional installation is recommended).
