Food & Grilling Groups may bring their own food and beverage to the tailgate area. Grilling (charcoal & propane) is permissible in designated areas in the tailgate area. All grills must be elevated. Cookers/grills on trailers are not allowed and no cooker/grill may be larger than 36” in diameter or 36” in length. Cookers/grills may not be placed in travel lanes or in parking spaces. Cookers/grills may not be placed inside buildings. No cooking/grilling is allowed under tents. Extinguish all fires or flames and dispose of any charcoal in the special designated receptacles located around Tailgate Village. Please do not place charcoal or other flammables in trash cans, under trees or leave it in the parking areas. Companies may not issue sample products without being properly licensed and approved by Sodexo and Tulane University. Food, drink and other items by vendors may neither be sold nor given to the public. Sodexo is the preferred caterer for tailgating. Please call Olive Blue Catering at (504) 865-5254 or [email protected] to order catering. If you would like to request using another caterer other than Sodexo, please contact Jennifer Thelen with Tulane University Events at (808) 342-6102 or [email protected]. All caterers must be pre-approved and meet Tulane University’s Guidelines for catering in Tailgate Village. Caterers must complete all paperwork, submit all the proper licenses and insurance certificates. Once the caterer has been approved, they will receive an access pass in order to be allowed on campus. Requests must be submitted at least twenty-one (21) days in advance and must include all of the required information for the request to be approved.

Clean-Up All groups are responsible for making sure their tailgating area is cleaned prior to departing for the game. Immediately after tailgating, all trash/recyclable items must be picked up and sorted into the proper receptacles located in Tailgate Village. This includes trash around your area. Trash should be closed in bags and placed in trash containers provided in the area. All left over food/beverages must be placed in proper containers and stored. All clean up procedures should be completed before entering the Stadium. It is the responsibility of each tailgate party to secure tailgate items prior to departing for the game. Tulane University will not be responsible for unattended tents and items. Personal Generators Portable electrical generators are permitted but are discouraged. Each generator should be equipped with a noise-reducing device (for example, a manufacturer-approved cover or muffler). The operation of portable electrical generators that create excessive noise more than 60 dBA, emission hazards or other safety concerns will not be permitted. (As determined by Tulane University Event Management) Special care and consideration should be taken when handling fuel and extension cords associated with generators. Generators shall not be operated in enclosed areas, near building intake ventilation ducts, or in parking decks. Generators shall not be refueled while in operation. For temporary electrical needs, Tulane recommends the use of battery-operated inverters that convert the battery current to house current. These recommended devices do not generate hazardous carbon monoxide emissions, do not require gasoline cans and resultant hazards, and do not create noise that is potential damaging to hearing and a nuisance to fellow tailgaters.

Motorized Vehicles Non-Tulane Golf carts, mopeds, scooters, ATV’s, go carts and other custom motorized vehicles are not permitted on the Tulane campus.
