Please note this timetable is not exclusive of all services that operate in and around Taunton, therefore for further and up to date information please visit www.traveline.info As such timetables and rules of carriage for public transport apply at all times. In addition to students from the College, fare paying members of the public will use the same buses. Like any other passenger, any student using a bus is required to have a valid ticket for each journey. WHICH PASS? 1. College students can chose to purchase a ticket and pay the driver for each journey or; 2. Make use of any special tickets issued by individual bus operators or; 3. Purchase the Somerset County Council County Ticket (Love the Bus). Careful research and planning is required to ensure the chosen ticket provides the best value for money for each individual student. This will depend on, for example, the number of journeys a student will make each week, location of work placement, availability of public transport at other times. The Somerset County Ticket allows unlimited use within Somerset from 1st September to 31st August, the pass needs to be ordered in advance to gain maximum value. Whilst it is possible to order a pass during term time, once term has started students will need to purchase a bus ticket for each journey while waiting for the pass application to be processed by Somerset County Council, this can take up to 2 weeks during busy times.

It was felt that the developers need to ensure there are sufficient land drains installed. Another resident brought up the issue of the prior discussion that the parish council had with the developer and the view expressed by the parish council that there is a need for low cost housing in the village. The resident commented that Ilton already has a disproportionate amount of low cost housing and it needs more higher banded properties to ensure it receives sufficient council tax which would also give Ilton a louder voice. Another resident commented that the low cost housing which is included in the new development on the edge of the playing field is not selling, some bungalows remain on the market for a long time and that Ilton does not need more low cost housing. The resident asked why the parish council felt that the village needs more low cost housing and where is the evidence.

Could you please circulate the following: ‘In common with other practices in the country, due to the present CORVID 19 situation, the South Somerset Primary Care Network are identifying specific surgeries to cater for specific patient needs. All initial contact with a surgery will be via a telephone triage system which may result in a call back from a Doctor or a Nurse Practitioner/Health Coach. A patients call could be picked up from any of the surgeries in the network. If a patient is required to attend for a face to face appointment they will be asked to attend a specific surgery to cater for their individual needs. This may not be their usual surgery and may be at either the Crewkerne Health Centre, Buttercross Health Centre in Somerton, Martock Surgery, or West One at Crewkerne. Project update The A303 Sparkford to Ilchester Dualling scheme entered the decision period of the Development Consent Order (DCO) planning process on 12 September. This means the examination phase is now over. The Planning Inspectorate has written its report for the Secretary of State for Transport, which includes a recommendation on whether to grant or refuse the DCO. This report is only made available to the Secretary of State who now has until 12 December 2019 to decide whether to grant or refuse the application. The decision letter will be published alongside the Recommendation Report on the National Infrastructure Planning website once the announcement is made. If you would like any more information on the DCO process the project is going through, you can find it on the National Infrastructure Planning website, https://infrastructure.planninginspectorate.gov.uk.     Somerset Library Services Consultation 2018 Summary Proposal Tell us your views on how we are proposing to deliver future library services in Chard, Crewkerne, Ilminster and surrounding area - Area 5 - Chard, Crewkerne, Ilminster libraries. We’d like to invite you to tell us your views on some potential changes we are considering making to the future delivery of library services in your community and across Somerset. Somerset County Council is fully committed to continuing to deliver a thriving, modern library service across Somerset. As with many Authorities, however, we continue to face challenging financial times. Somerset County Council received £90million in 2013/14 from central government to support our services. This has reduced to just over £26million for 2017/18 and is set to reduce to nothing by 2020/21- whilst demand for services has increased, particularly in adult and children social care. We have managed to reduce our library budget by 20% since 2011, whilst keeping all of our libraries open. Going forward, we may need to consider more challenging changes in order to keep the Libraries Service on a sustainable financial footing. The following summary proposal provides three options exploring how we might deliver library services in your community in future. There are another eight area summary proposals available to view, which include library proposals for the remaining areas of Somerset. Please carefully read the following information, consider the two proposed options then complete the questionnaire, basing your answers on the library you visit most often.     Issued: 13 July 2010 Community Profile: Creech St Michael Sure Start Children's Centre Areas This area profile pulls together a range of information about the Creech St Michael area and the people who live there. no map available Creech St Michael area comprises the wards of North Curry & Stoke St. Gregory, Ruishton & Creech, and West Monkton. The population of 11,834 lives in area of 7,849 hectares resulting in a population density of 1.5 per hectare, in line with Somerset as a whole. There are 4,572 households. Positioned on the outer fringes of Taunton, the Creech St Michael area has the M5, A38, A358, A3259 and A361 passing through it, which is probably a factor in the high rate of road casualties here. The area also experiences greater problems of accessibility to housing and services than might be expected. However, residents are extremely satisfied with where they live. Educational achievement, access to private vehicles, mortality rates and JSA claimant rates are all favourable in comparison with Somerset as a whole. A separate User Guide contains a detailed description of the statistics. - 1 - Creech St Michael People and Place Although Creech St Michael’s population profile is fairly typical of Somerset it shows a slightly lower proportion in the age groups 20-34, and marginally higher proportions of women in their forties and sixties.
