Summary ................................................................................................................................. 32 2 HP REVEAL STUDIO AND HP REVEAL HP Reveal Studio and HP Reveal are the same tool. The first one refers to its web version and the second to the mobile option. In both cases its main purpose is to enable the user to create Augmented Reality objects. Throughout this manual all the steps to be followed will be described in detail for a correct use of HP Reveal Studio and HP Reveal. Until December 2017 HP Reveal Studio and HP Reveal were called Aurasma Studio and Aurasma. In a very simple way you can get great results becoming the user in an experienced Augmented Reality creator. Their logos are the following: The knowledge and identification of logos is essential to be able to inform where the additional information as augmented reality is located and that you can get it with HP Reveal app. 3 1. Getting started with HP Reveal Studio 1.1. Register a new account To start using HP Reveal Studio it is necessary to enter the web through the address https://studio.hpreveal.com and register. To do this, click on "Log in to HP Reveal Studio” In this screen you have to fill in the fields requested in the option "CREATE ACCOUNT ": "Create an account" Email Address, this field has to be completed with an electronic mail address. It is important to remember the mail address of the creation of the account since it can be requested to access. Username: It is necessary to create a username that later will be requested in new accesses. Password: Keyword that is requested in new accesses. Confirm Password: The same word must be written as confirmation of the previous password. Once you have all the complete data just click on "Create account". If instead of starting to use HP Reveal Studio through the PC you access the mobile app and registration is done through your App, you just have to click "Already have an account" and complete the "Username" and "Password" which has been created in the App. 4 After registering with HP Reveal Studio or HP Reveal, it´s very important that you enter your email and verify the account at through the email that is sent by the application's managers. If this process isn’t performed, the "Auras" can’t be displayed. The result of overlapping additional information (video, audio, image or 3D model) to an image is called “Aura”. 1.2. Enter HP Reveal with a created account Once the registration is made and authenticated through email, enter HP Reveal Studio, click again on "Log in to HP Reveal Studio" and click on "Sign in": Insert "Username" and "Password" and Click on "Log in" to access HP Reveal Studio 5 1.3. Description of HP Reveal menus To explore the different sections on the top right you just have to click on each of them: My Account: Corresponds to the data of the account created by the user and allows you to modify the name of the user, password, email, insert an image, read the terms of the service, enable features, modify preferences and share the campaigns, "Private auras". Help: Videos about the use of HP Reveal Studio appear as a help to the user, as well as the possibility of participating in the "Community of HP Reveal Studio, where you can debate on issues of the application. Log Out: Corresponds to the closing of the user's session. In the central part there are three options, "Discover", "Assets" and "My Auras". With the first option, "Discover", you go back to the central start menu where you have all the Auras created and shared by users. "Assets", corresponds to those markers that are used as information triggers and finally "My Auras" is the place where the created auras are kept and where the new ones are created. 6 Discover, in this section, in addition to finding the auras of the users, you can through the next section (upper right area) search for users "Search" or hashtag assigned to the auras, as well as through the arrow icon "update the auras that appear by default”. Assets, if no aura had been made, pressing this option the central part of the page will be in blank. If any aura was created, in this section the "activators" of the information will appear, normally it’s the selected images. 7 2. Create Auras "My Auras", when pressing this option, the following screen will be displayed: This space is where you start creating the Aura, clicking "Create New Aura" accesses the option "Click to Upload Trigger lmage" to select the trigger information or as it is called in HP Reveal Studio "Trigger image" that is hosted on the PC from which HP Reveal Studio is being accessed. To access the "Trigger lmage" or activator of the information that was used for a previous Aura you click on "Click to Select Existing" 8 If you access an image of the PC you must complete the following fields: Name: It is necessary to put a name to the "Trigger image" or trigger information. Folder, My Triggers: Allows creating folders to store the "Trigger images". So, it is only necessary to unfold the folder and select the "Create New Folder" option which will access a blank box to complete with the name of the folder "Enter new folder name ", once filled, you just have to click" OK ". Coordinates: If this option is selected and the coordinates of the "Trigger image" were filled, the aura will only be activated in the position selected by the inserted coordinates. Trigger image: To choose the image of the PC, click on "Browse", if you choose an image stored in Dropbox, you have to press "From Dropbox". Description: Used to make a description of the "Trigger image" is not mandatory but recommended. Once data have been completed you have to select "Save" to save the chosen trigger image. If instead of searching and selecting an activator of the information of the PC, you choose one already used in previous occasions you access to the next screen and with just a click on "Click to Select Existing" and choose one, you can continue in the creation of Aura. 9 After clicking on "Save" you access the image with a menu that allows you to edit the image, "Trigger": Select: Allows you to select all the actions that are performed in the image. Delete: It facilitates to erase all the actions that are carried out in the image once selected the modifications. Mask: Used to select only a part of the image as a rectangle, polygon or ellipse and even make the image more opaque. To modify the "Mask" it is done "Select" on it or "Delete." Zoom ln: For the increase of the "Trigger" image. Zoom Out: For the decrease of the "Trigger" image. Fit: Indicates the zoom percentage. Change: Facilitates the change or replacement of the "Trigger" image. Once all the necessary modifications have been made to the "Trigger", proceed to Click on "Next" (upper right area) and access the possibility of including the layer "Overlay" of information that you want to associate with the "Trigger": 10 As in the case of the "Trigger", you can choose an existing overlay "Click to Select Existing" or a new one chosen "Click Upload Overlay". You can upload or choose image files, audio, video or 3D models. When clicking on the "Click Upload Overlay" option, the following fields appear: Name: This field has to be completed with the name you want to give to the overlay. Folder: By clicking on the "My Overlays" folder you can create all the folders desired to store the overlays that are generated. You have to click on "Create New Folder "and include in the" Enter new folder name" box the name to designate the folder of the overlays, finally press "OK". Browse: This option is to explore on the computer the file that wants to be included as overlay. Description: It is optional but it is convenient to complete this section. Corresponds to the description of the overlay. Loop Animation: Pressing this option indicates that the video or 3D model selected is displayed in a loop. If this option is not pressed, the video or the 3D model selected will stop after the first viewing. 11 Once the options chosen to save the overlay are completed and selected, click "Save" and the following screen appears: The trigger and the overlay are visible together and on the right and bottom we find the different options that the overlay allows. The option "Update Change" allows to upload another overlay. The first of the squares on the left corresponds to a preview of the chosen and previously selected overlay. 12 By clicking on the "eye" option and by closing it, you remove the overlay from the preview on the left.
