Heideman and/or members of Heideman Nudelman & Kalik, PC are licensed to practice law in the District of Columbia, Maryland, New York, New Jersey, Missouri, Indiana, Kentucky and Wyoming as well as in numerous Federal courts including the Supreme Court. Heideman Nudelman & Kalik, PC has been named the 2016 Trial Lawyers of the Year by Public Justice. Heideman Nudelman & Kalik, PC has represented the Israeli firm, Partner Communications, with regards to its negotiated agreement with the French telecom firm, Orange. Heideman Nudelman & Kalik, PC serves as lead co‐counsel in the matter of Litle et al v Arab Bank, Plc litigation brought by American victims and their family members who were killed or injured as a result of terror attacks during the Second Intifada. In September 2014, a jury found the Arab Bank guilty of funding and sponsoring terrorism in violation of the Anti‐Terrorism Act. This is the first time a financial institution has been found liable for violating the ATA. Heideman Nudelman & Kalik, PC sued Libya and Gaddafi in US District Court, gathered powerful evidence against Libya and Gaddafi and led certain negotiations in the $1.5 billion settlement for American victims of Libyan terror. Heideman Nudelman & Kalik, PC has sued the Islamic Republic of Iran on behalf of Marines killed or injured in the 1983 Marine Barracks bombing in Beirut, Lebanon and their families. Richard D. Heideman personally argued the punitive damages portion of the case wherein then Chief Judge Royce Lamberth of the United States District Court for the District of Columbia awarded a record‐ setting one billion dollars ($1,000,000,000.00) in punitive damages against Iran for their sponsorship of terrorism. On behalf of its clients that have judgments against the Islamic Republic of Iran, Heideman Nudelman & Kalik, PC is involved in collection activities that have resulted in a US District Court judge ordering the turnover of approximately $1.9 billion dollars and the forfeiture of a building located in Manhattan. The US Supreme Court recently affirmed the turnover decision to the American victims of terror. Heideman Nudelman & Kalik, PC has obtained judgments in US District Courts on behalf of several victims arising out of the Intifada and Second Intifada aggregating judgments of approximately $173 Million. The U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia has awarded Judgments of $601 million dollars and over $3 billion dollars against Syria arising from Syria’s sponsorship of the Abu Nidal Organization, a Foreign Terror Organization. Most recently, a D.C. federal court entered a judgment of $347.6 million dollar judgment against Syria for its sponsorship of a 2005 terrorist attack at the Amman, Jordan Raddison SAS hotel by the ISIS predecessor, Al‐Qaida in Iraq (AQI) that killed two American citizens. Heideman filed with the International Court of Justice, sitting at The Hague, a legal brief arguing in support of Israel’s right to defend her citizens against acts of terrorism. Heideman has served two elected terms as President of B’nai B’rith International, the oldest Jewish organization in the world; has testified before the United States Senate and the United Nations Human Rights Council and has frequently appeared on television, in radio, and published in numerous publications. He has authored “The Hague Odyssey: Israel’s Struggle for Security on the Front Lines of Terrorism and Her Battle for Justice at the United Nations”. Heideman served as Chair of the Herzliya Conference International Advisory Board for five years; Chair of the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Lawyers Committee in Washington, DC for five years; and is presently Chairman of the Hebrew Faculty of Law Institute for Law and Policy, Jerusalem, Israel. Richard D. Heideman has been decorated by the President of Argentina, receiving the distinguished Merito de Mayo Award; received the Sam Beber Distinguished Alumnus Award from the B’nai B’rith Youth Organization; Heritage Award from State of Israel Bonds; the Joseph Papp Racial Harmony Award from the Foundation for Ethnic Understanding and mostly recently received the Distinguished Alumnus Award from George Washington University, Washington, DC.
