Whether you are a long time season ticket holder or a first time visitor to Louis Crews Stadium, we thank you for being a part of the Bulldogs football tradition. In order to help make your trip to “The Hill” easier and more enjoyable, this informational guide is designed to provide you with Alabama A&M Bulldogs Football game day information. We hope that your experience at Louis Crews Stadium this season will be as memorable as always. AAMU Athletic Department Mission Statement The mission of the AAMU Athletic Department is to support the academic development of our student-athletes, to build the brand and competitive excellence of our varsity sports programs, and to foster strategic alliances with our collegiate, community, conference, corporate and compliance partners. AAMU Athletic Department Vision Statement To be a premier, nationally recognized and athletic program that consistently demonstrates a commitment to service, ethics, teamwork, sportsmanship, excellence and achievement. AAMU Athletic Department Philosophy and Purpose The philosophy of the athletics program is to provide the student-athlete a competitive learning experience in an academic environment, which will lead ultimately towards the completion of a degree. The athletics program is one means of promoting the university and is a service to both the campus (participants, student body, faculty, staff) and the general public (community, area, state). The athletic program is considered a means of fostering the development of the whole person, sportsmanship, and positive societal attitudes in student-athletes. LOUIS CREWS STADIUM FACILITY INFORMATION ADA ACCESSIBILITY/PARKING The Alabama A&M Department of Athletics is committed to guests with disabilities. Louis Crews Stadium is designed with accessible parking, restrooms, concessions,and seating areas. For more information, fans can call the Bulldog Ticket Office at 256-372-4700. Handicap Parking - Garage (Visitor Entrance)- Handicap parking is available around the home side of Louis Crews Stadium and in the Stallworth Parking Lot ADVANCE TICKET PURCHASE Fans can purchase tickets by calling 256-372-4700, by visiting the Athletics Tickets Office located at Louis Crews Stadium, Monday through Friday from 10am-5pm, or purchase online 24/7. ALCOHOL The Alabama A&M University and The Department of Athletics work hard to promote responsible consumption of alcoholic beverages. ANIMALS Animals are not permitted on the grounds of Alabama A&M University or any athletic events with the exception of service animals trained to do work or perform task for guest with disabilities. ATMs ATMs are not available at Louis Crews Stadium. AUTOGRAPHS Autographs are only available during special events or promotions by the Department of Athletics. Autograph request are made through our Sports Information Department. AUTOMOBILE ASSISTANCE Fans can call DPS at 256-372-5555 BABY CHANGING AREAS Baby changing stations are located in some restrooms in the stadium. BACKPACKS For security purposes, backpacks and large bags are not permitted in Louis Crews Stadium. Purses, small handbags, small diaper bags, etc. will be permitted. All bags are subject to search. BALL RETURN POLICY Footballs that enter the seating area must be returned to the field. BANNERS AND SIGNS Event related signs, flags, banners, and posters are welcome inside the facility to show fan support during events. The following guidelines relate to these items: • Must be relevant to event • May not be larger than 4 feet tall and 8 feet wide • May not contain commercial messages, logos or political endorsements • May not be attached to a stick/pole • May not obstruct any stadium or event signage • May not contain or display obscene or offensive language and/or pictures as determined by Louis Crews Stadium management • May not contain derogatory or un-sportsmanship comments directed to the opposing team’s players or fans, field officials, or stadium personnel • May not be constructed or displayed in a manner that may obstruct the view of other guests or in any way create a safety hazard for others as determined by Louis Crews Stadium management. Any sign, flag, banner or poster may be removed, at any time, at the sole discretion of the Louis Crews Stadium management. BOTTLES/CANS/OUTSIDE BEVERAGES Outside food or drink, including bottled water, and/or cans and glass bottles are strictly prohibited. Empty plastic bottles are permitted. Bulldog KIDS ZONE The Bulldogs Kids Zone located at the Bulldog Softball Field outside of the stadium on the south side. It opens four hours prior to kickoff each game day. All children 13 years and under can enjoy face painting, games, inflatables and interaction with AAMU student-athletes. CAMERAS Cameras are permitted inside Louis Crews Stadium as long as their use does not interfere with the game or other guests’ enjoyment of the event. Pictures of the game are for personal use only and may not be sold. Tri-pods, mono-pods, multiple lenses and lenses longer than 8 inches are prohibited from use on the concourse or in the stands. Video cameras and video recording of events are prohibited. CHILDREN Children age six (6) years and under will get in free of charge. CLOSED CAPTIONING To provide the best fan experience to every Bulldog fan, closed captioning is provided in the southwest corner of Louis Crews Stadium. CODE OF CONDUCT The Alabama A&M Department of Athletics is committed to creating a safe, comfortable and enjoyable experience for our guests. Our staff will proactively support an environment free from the following behaviors: • Intoxication or other signs of impairment related to alcohol consumption • Behavior that is reckless, dangerous, materially disruptive or illegal in nature • Fighting, taunting or threatening remarks or gestures • Sitting in a location other than the guests ticketed seat • Any material disruption to the progress of the event by guest’s actions (including entering the field of play or throwing objects onto the field) • Failing to follow instructions of stadium personnel or law enforcement officers. • Verbal or physical harassment of the opposing team’s players or fans, field officials, or stadium personnel • Entering the stadium with a prohibited item Continuing inappropriate behavior may result in the guest being ejected, arrested by police, or having his/her tickets revoked. All Season Ticket Members are responsible for their conduct as well as the conduct of their guests and/or persons using their tickets. Fans who see someone violating the code of conduct should notify stadium security or tweet @BulldogGameday. CONCESSIONS Aramark is the official concessionaire for Alabama A&M University and Louis Crews Stadium. Concession stands are located throughout the stadium on the concourse level. Ms. Felicia Wilson Director of Dinning Service ARAMARK at 256-372-5708 CONCESSION DISCOUNTS FOR SEASON TICKET MEMBERS There are NO concession stand discount for season ticket members. BULLDOG WALK Fans can line up to take part in the Bulldog Walk two hours prior to kickoff- Led by Head Coach Connell Maynor. The team will be dropped off at the Tailgate area and walk into the locker room located at Hobson Fieldhouse. DIRECTIONS Directions to campus and campus maps are located at the end of the packet and at www. aamusports.com. Click on the link that says Game Day Central. DRONES Drones or Remote Controlled Model Aircraft (RCMA) are strictly prohibited in or around Louis Crews Stadium on game day. ELEVATORS Elevators are not available at Louis Crews Stadium EMERGENCIES EMERGENCY ACTION PLAN Emergency situations may arise anytime during athletic events. Expedient action must be taken in order to provide the best possible care to the sport patron/ participant in emergency and/or life threatening conditions. The development and implementation of an emergency plan will help ensure that the best care will be provided. As emergencies may occur at any time during an activity, the Sports Medicine Department and Athletic Staff must be prepared. Athletic Organizations have a duty to develop an emergency plan that may be implemented immediately when necessary and to provide appropriate standards of emergency care to all sports participants. As injuries occur at any time and during any activity, the Sports Medicine Team/ Emergency Response Team must be prepared. This preparation involves formulation of an emergency plan, proper coverage of events, maintenance of appropriate medical emergency equipment and supplies, utilization of appropriate medical emergency personnel, and continuing education in the area of emergency medicine and planning. Activating the EMS System Making the Call: ••Notify Campus Police at 372-5555 Providing Information: ••Name, Address, Telephone number of caller ••Nature of emergency, whether medical or non-medical ••Number of personnel injured ••Condition of personnel (breathing, not breathing, pulse, no pulse, bleeding, conscious, unconscious) ••First Aid treatment initiated by first responder (blood control, rescue breathing, CPR, etc.) ••Specific directions as needed to location of injured personnel (see individual sport EAP) ••Other information requested by dispatcher EMERGENCY COMMUNICATION: Cell phones provided by the certified athletic trainers or coaches will be used. EMERGENCY EQUIPMENT: First aid supplies (athletic trainer’s kit, biohazard bags, vacuum splints, crutches, immobilizers, and braces). The crutches, braces, and immobilizers can be found in the athletic training room located in the Council Training Building. Epi-pens are located in the training room, or in the athletic trainer’s kit.
